I have used and recomended "Mule Team Borax" in the carpeting and under furniture cushions as a natural flea control method.

I haven't been convinced of the effectiveness of natural flea remedies. Maybe here in the swamp, we just have tougher fleas. I totally agree about Hartz, I've treated many cases due to their products. If people choose conventional meds and to buy online, I've got some advice for them from a practicing vet.

I don't have them now, but years ago a cat brought them home! I found a natural away to get rid of them but the product was very expensive, I did it, but wow. This is much better

We've got an awful flea problem this fall!! I just got some stuff to treat the yard, but like you said it only treats the yard, then I need something for the dogs, and something for the cat, and something for the house. Going to try the powder you mentioned here since it's usable everywhere and nontoxic - sounds like exactly what I need!

Say Debbie! Boy oh boy do we ever know about fleas and having a flea invasion -- it happened a couple of years ago and it took us literally months to eradicate them from our home. Pretty prolific fleas! We just heard last week from the vet that little Boots the cat had fleas. I said, "no way Jose!" Have yet to FIND where they are hiding. So, it was time to treat all the critters. The vet is now recommending Vectra? Is that the product?

OMG ... I sincerely think those fleas have returned! I was spraying my home office today -- I think this is where they are hiding. When I sit at my desk and work, I could swear fleas are biting at my ankles ... OR something!

Great Information! We've had flea problems and it isn't fun. These all look like great products.

Living in the south, fleas are a constant problem. We use Frontline but I'm going to try your natural remedy. Otto's tired of the fleas and so am I.
    Great lens

Mo, is such a beautiful dog! I'm so glad he's flea free. I've never had a dog because I'm highly allergic to them but my daughter did get flea bites from my sister's newly adopted cat. It was awful! I thought she had the chicken pox, (for a second time) but the doc said it was flea bites. 5*'s for a great source of information.

Welcome to the Going Buggy group. :)

We normally use Frontline but having read this I think I might give this natural remedy you suggest a try. We have been fighting an uphill battle with fleas since we visited Florida.
