A good cookie recipe is like a good friend. They both provide something that can make you feel good and if they are bad, they'll break your heart and leave your kitchen a mess. These are the recipes that will make you feel good.
I know what you are thinking? Cookies aren't that important. Not worth a Squidoo lens. Well, how many wars have been fought over cookies? Okay, well, none. But how many wars could have been prevented if cookies had been involved. I think you see my point, cookies could have saved lives and with your help they will. Please bake a cookie for peace and then eat a cookie for peace and because you are hungry.
Can't you just smell the yummy goodness wafting through the air. Cookies are our friends even while we are eating them. That is their purpose and they are here for our culinary pleasure. - Sprinkle pecan halves evenly over baked layer. Heat 2/3 cup butter and the brown sugar to boiling in 2-quart saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally; boil and stir 1 minute. Spoon mixture evenly over pecans.

- I'm going to have to try the Chocolate-Chip Pecan bars. It sounds like a good combination. I usually use walnuts, but pecans would add a new twist.
