You don't need all that extra fat to have your puddings tasting delicious...
Increase your use of Omega-3 rich nuts in your baking...
Omega 3 fats are fats which your body actually requires to maintain good health. Foods rich in omega-3 fats are walnuts, flax seed, salmon, and other oily fish. Add a handful of walnuts into your baked goods.

Read the nutritional facts on the products which you purchase....
Make it a habit to read the list of ingredients and nutrients on the prepared foods which you purchase.
This includes all prepared foods, as well as the margarine, and oils, which you purchase. All fats are not created equal. By reading labels you can help to reduce or eliminate the very unhealthy trans fats from your family's diet. Trans fats are the fat which is all too well known to clog the arteries. Trans-fats are so hazardous to your heart that they are actually being banned in some countries.
Do you really want this type of fat in your home baked goodies and treats? Do you really want to feed your family such unhealthy foods?
Reduce the unhealthy bad fat in your cookies, cakes, and pies...
Protect your heart and purchase margarine, oil, and other store purchased goods which contain zero trans-fats.
When recipes call for lard or margarine substitute unhealthy brands with an equal amount of non-hydrogenated zero trans fat margarine. The price is usually very comparable, or just a few pennies more than regular margarine, but the health benefits for your body will be amazing.
If a recipe calls for oil to be added in then reduce the amount that the recipe calls for. Also start purchasing only healthy oils such as Olive or Canola Oil and use these to bake with rather than those loaded with unhealthy trans fats.
Add antioxidant rich foods into your cookies, cakes, and pies...
Use antioxidant rich raisins, blueberries, or cherry bits to replace chocolate chips, candied jujubes, or other less healthy add ins.
You can substitute fruit, nuts, and berries into most cookie recipes...
Reduce the amount of sugar in your cookies, cakes, and pies...
Reduce the amount of sugar that the recipe calls for by at least one quarter. The cookies will taste just as good if not better.
Yummy...peanut butter cookies.

Think Happy-Be Happy
Let Your Endorphins Out To Play
When you participate in pleasurable activities like smiling, laughing, exercising or playing, your brain does an amazing thing and releases a little chemical message known as an endorphin.
These endorphins are feel good messages that have the power to actually remove physical and emotional pain. They travel down the spine, and then throughout your body, sending a feeling of well being as they go. These endorphins not only have the ability to relieve pain but they also have the power to make you feel happy. So remember to take time to play - It really is important.
Play really is important.
