Mashed Potato Recipes
How To Cook A Mashed Potato Casserole
Ingredients
5 lbs of white potatoes that we need to peel and cut into 1 inch chunks. We are using white potatoes because of their low starch content.
1/4 cup of parmesan cheese
1 cup (approx 4 ounces) cheddar cheese, shredded
1/4 cup of blue cheese crumbles
3 ounces of softened cream cheese
8 ounce tub of sour cream
Garlic Salt, One Teaspoon
Paprika, 1/4 teaspoon
Directions
Place the peeled cubed potatoes in a large sauce pan.
Cover the potatoes with water
Boil until the potatoes are fork tender
Mash the potatoes in the sauce pan (don't over do it)
In a separate large mixing bowl-beat the cream cheese, blue cheese, and cheddar cheese together.
Now into the cheese mixture beat in the sour cream, garlic salt, and paprika.
Make sure this mixture is smooth
The oven should be preheated to 350F
Stir the cheese mixture in with the mashed potatoes. Make sure it is blended well.
If the potatoes seem a little stiff add milk. Just one tablespoon at a time. Do not add to much milk.
Now spoon the mashed potatoes into a 13×9 baking dish
Sprinkle the parmesan cheese on top of the potatoes
You are going to bake for 35-40 minutes uncovered
