1. Establish the habit early, even if the child is a passenger.
2. Lead by example - wear a helmet yourself.
3. Talk to your children about why wearing a helmet is important.
4. Reward kids with praise or treats when they wear helmets.
5. Don't allow children to ride their bikes without helmets.
6. Encourage your child's friends to wear helmets
