This is what every kitty owners need, fun and functional cat scratchers. I like the Big Fish cat scratcher because cats can also play with it and when they're tired they can rest in it.

Cats need something of their own to scratch... otherwise look out furniture! I had no idea there were so many appealing cat scratcher and tower designs, some are very stylish and elegant, and others look a whole lot of fun!

Oh, I love the sofa scratcher! My grandkitties would love that, especially my beautiful Gobbles. She loves all cat scratchers. She is not crazy about most people, but she does love to be scratched :)

Loved the comment about their being no snooze button for cats. Mine started waking me up for his breakfast at midnight and didn't stop until I fed him at 3:00AM. Arrrrrghghghghg! :D

Thanks so much for visiting and saying hello, I really appreciate it! I have that problem with one chair that I made the fatal mistake of covering with a quilt to protect it... not realizing that the cats found their way under the quilt and made a tent to conceal their claw sharpening - until it was too late and the damage done, and the behaviour locked in for the cats - So annoyed with myself that I didn't know what was going on under the quilt all that time!!!

I don't know any cat that would lie on a cat scratcher that looked like a dog, lol. My history of finding the right cat scratcher is less than positive. What I think they will like is not at all what they will use. I bought the emery board scratcher and they refused to use it for months. Then one cat decided she liked it and now it needs a refill. The one that seems to be working the best is a floor mat style, since they were scratching the carpets in our RV. I think I'll buy a couple more (of course the catnip inside doesn't hurt).

Some interesting cat scratchers here. My cat has a scratching post and several cardboard tray scratchers, none of which he will use. He loves tearing into a big cardboard box I had sitting in the foyer from when the mailman delvered a box of shipping boxes. I decided to leave it there for him to use in order to save my furniture and carpet.
