Classic Car Spotlight | The Ford Model-A

Ford Model-AThe Ford Model A was the second huge success for the Ford Motor Company, after its predecessor, the Model T. First produced on October 20, 1927, but not sold until December 2, it replaced the venerable Model T, which had been produced for 18 years. This new Model A (a previous model had used the Model A name back in 1903) was designated as a 1928 model and was available in four standard colors, but not black. The successor to the Model A was the Model B which featured an updated 4-cylinder engine, and by the Model 18 which introduced Ford's new V8 engine. For more, see Wikipedia, Ford Model-A.

Classic Car Spotlight | Alfa Romeo RL

Alfa Romeo RLAlfa Romeo RL was produced between 1922-1927, it was Alfa's first sport model after World War I. Car was designed in 1921 by Giuseppe Merosi. Car had straight-6 engine with overhead valves. Three different versions was made: Normale, Turismo and Sport. RLTF (Targa Florio) was race version of RL and it weighted half of normal versions, engine had seven main bearings instead of four and double carburetos. In 1923 Alfa race team had drivers like Ugo Sivocci, Antonio Ascari, Giulio Masetti and Enzo Ferrari. Sivocci's car had green cloverleaf symbol on white background and when he won Targa Florio 1923, that symbol was become Alfa's good luck token to the team. RL total production was 2640. For more, see Wikipedia, Alfa Romeo RL

Classic Truck Spotlight | Ford F-100

1955 Ford F-100The F-series was redesigned for 1953 with a more integrated look. The pickups also acquired their familiar names: The F-1 now became the F-100, the F-2 now became the F-250, and the F-3 now became the 1 ton F-350. Starting on the 1956 models, Ford offers the very rare "Low GVWR" versions of each model. Interior amenities were new, including a dome light, lighter, arm rests, and sun visors. On March 13, 1953, "Ford-O-Matic" automatic transmissions became an option. For more, see Wikipedia, Ford Trucks.

Classic Car Spotlight | Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost

Rolls-Royce Silver GhostThe Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost refers both to a car model and to one specific car from that series. Originally named the "40/50 h.p." the chassis was produced at Royce's Manchester and later Derby and Springfield, Massachusetts factories. Chassis no. 60551, registered AX 201, was the car that was originally given the name "Silver Ghost." Other 40/50 hp cars were also given names but the Silver Ghost title was taken up by the press and soon all 40/50s were called by the name, a fact not officially recognised by Rolls-Royce until 1925 when the Phantom range was launched. The Silver Ghost was the origin of Rolls-Royce's claim of making the "Best car in the world" - a phrase coined not by themselves, but by the prestigious publication Autocar in 1907. The chassis and engine were also used as the basis of a range of Armoured cars. For more, see Wikipedia
Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost.

Classic Car Spotlight | Mercedes-Benz W187

Mercedes-Benz W187The W187 was Mercedes-Benz's line of six-cylinder luxury cars in the early-1950s. It was sold as a sedan, coupe, and cabriolet, all with the 220 model name. Introduced at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1951, the 220 sedan was replaced by the W105/W180 line in 1953. The coupe and cabriolet lasted until August of 1955. All 220s used a 2.2 L (2195 cc/133 in³) straight-6 engine producing 80 hp (60 kW). The styling was similar to the 170 S except that the headlights were integrated into the fenders for a slightly more modern look. Two different cabriolet models were built, but they only sold 1,278 and 997 for the "A" and "B" versions, respectively. For more, see Wikipedia, Mercedes-Benz W187.

Neat lens! Pretty neat stuff going on here and highly informative as well. Classics and antiques will definitely never go out of style. Of course, finding the vintage car takes time, but you can eliminate the hits-and-miss with automotive software. It's worth checking out, at least.
