How our brains can get hi-jacked by Dangerous Memes!

This is truely a thought-provoking video.

Philosopher and author Daniel C. Dennett talks in this video about consciousness, and how minds can be controled with ideas.
My favorite part is an antecdote about an ant that gets it's mind hi-jacked by a virus...spooky and eye-opening.

Ray Kurzweil and the future

This is the one video that changed everything for me. Ray Kurzweil has a daring view of the future in which humans merge with their technology, virtual reality and real reality become one, and artificial intelligence emerges. Take 20 minutes and watch this video here.

Aubrey de Grey on human longevity

Aubrey de Grey shows a roadmap to a human lifespan of 800-1000 years in this short talk.
Aubrey de Grey also has started the Methusela Foundation where they are offering real money for scientists to increase the lifespan of mice. The idea being to then apply those changes to humans. Cool stuff!
