The first thing you need to do is make a guest list. Invite all of the new mommy's friends and female relatives. Typically men don't go to baby showers, but maybe you know one who might want to. It's up to you. If you don't know the mommy's friends, please ask her to give you a list. You don't want to leave anyone out. And don't forget about the new daddy's female relatives and friends.

A new cool trend in baby showers is a co-ed or Jack and Jill Baby Shower. This is where both parents are celebrated. In this case, you would want to invite male and female guests.

How large your guest list gets is up to you. If it gets too large, it may be more practical to have more than one baby shower. For instance, one for co-workers and friends, one for family members or one for church members. Do not include the same guests at multiple showers because it can be difficult buying more than one gift.
