I Am Ben

My name is Ben I am about 6 years old I am a spanish dog but I speak good english because I live with an English human in Spain. I used to live with Spanish people but I got run over and they would not pay for me to get better so my new human took me off them and we went to the hospital and I got better. I am really smart and cool, I live with 3 other dogs and we go everyday to another house and pick up another 3 dogs and we all go out together.

It is really fun.

My Name is Ben

I live in a very small house (A caravanny thing?) With 2 humans and 2 cats and 3 other dogs and we have just got a rabbit but he lives in a run. Everyday we go for walkabouts with 3 dogs that live in another house that is near to our house. We all get in the van together and go to different places.

I think I am the most important dog and the most fun dog with the best personality so I am going to write our squiddlylens which is really cool as loads of other people and dogs can see what I do and how clever I am.

In this picture I am on the left, Diana is in the middle, she lives with me and is cool too cos we bark at the same things. Tina is the other dog in the picture. She is naughty too but lives in the other house.

Me and Tina and Big Suzie in our Van

This is me and Tina and Big Suzie in our van. Big Suzie is massive but I heard them say she did not eat as much as the rest of us- a man in a white coat says she is so big because she is lazy but I dont think she is because she often runs away on our walkabouts which means she gets twenty minutes longer than us while we have to wait for her to come back. Diana's head is in the background. We think our van is great, we ride in it everyday, sometimes me and Diana are in it for 3 or 4 hours in one day if we get a ride in the afternoon too. We have carpet and I have a special seat just for me but Tina tries to get up sometimes. I need a seat because I am not as tall as big suze, diana and tina.
There are two other boy dogs and a girl dog called Bonsky but they have to sit in the front with the human because they are too small to see out of the back and they are sissys especially Matthew.

Me and Pine Cones

One of my favourite things I do is chasing pine cones that the human throws. Of the seven dogs that go for walkabouts, there are three of us that like chasing them, me, tina and diana. We argue and push each other to get there first, I am in the top three for catching them first.
We are not allowed sticks cos the human says they are dangerous, and that sticks are the most common reason that dogs have to go to the vet as they can catch the stick wrong and it can hurt their mouths really bad and sometimes they even die, so we dont do sticks just cones. I really like the mess they make too, but the human says she doesn't- she is strange sometimes.

Me and Jack in Bed

I thought everybody would be dying to see a picture of me in my bed so here is one.

I sleep next to Jack in front of the fire. My bed is bigger and better than Jack's bed but he is just a little squirt so he only needs a little squirt's bed. I think I look really cool and serene when I am in my bed and I expect lots of people and dogs will want to make a poster from this picture to put by their own beds- well feel free- I don't blame you. You can cut Jack out if you want.

My Collections

There are some things that humans just don't get. Don't get me wrong cos I am a human lover, but sometimes they can be quite silly.
I live with two of them (they are rescue humans) and I understand they did not have an easy start in life but they certainly need training in lots of areas. One of the naughty things is they put slippers on to go outside or go to the toilet then they leave them all over the place so I tidy them up into my bed. But then they want them back! I do not give them back of course as I tidied them up and if they wanted them in the beginning why did they not just look after them and bury them in the garden as any normal human would do? They just leave them lying there and expect them to still be there when they go back. And they are supposed to be cleverer but even cats know that does not work.

I lose my cool

This is a picture of lovely me with some more of my shoes. I love them and have loads buried in the garden I get a bit angry when they try to get them back.

Bonsky

There is a new dog living with us now her name is Bonsky. She came last summer. She is OK I guess. Her and Jack are all loved up at the moment. Well at least it means he leaves me alone. She was only meant to be staying with us temporary but I think I heard them say now she will be here all the time now. As long as she does not get in my bed it is OK.

Jack

Jack lived here before me I am the second newest dog here which means I am one of the freshest. Jack was in a refuge before he came here. before he was in that refuge he was in a townhall dog pound where they were going to put him to sleep cos nobody wanted him. The lady from the Tossa refuge got him out just in time but he was very sad in the refuge so the lady called our human and asked if she could take Jack home and that is what happened. He is not sad anymore and he is funny because he thinks he is really big like me but he is just a little squirty dog.

Diana

Diana is the biggest and oldest dog that lives with us. She is very quiet and very good apart from when we go out. She had to be good at her first home because they tied her up all the time on a rope. When our human found her she had just had puppies (we do not know where they went) her neck was bleeding from the rope and she was very very thin. It was the middle of the night and she was running round the streets alone. We have some nasty pictures of her from that time but we never look at them now we just look at the nice ones. She loves the van like me and sometimes she won't get out.

Frazzle

This is Frazzle. She is the eldest cat here, we used to have four but now we just have two here becuse the other two went to the big litter box in the sky. I expect we shall find some more soon. Frazzle comes from England, she came to live in Spain with a pair of humans but one of them went of with a younger human, and the other one had to leave in a hurry, so Frazzle lives with us now. She was here before me but does not say much, she likes to lie down most of the time.

This Lens

I am writing a lens because I want everyone to know how cool I am and because we want to get some money for the dogs and cats that are still in Jack's Refuge and for European Animal Welfare that helps lots of dogs that need it like we did.

This is a really cool book written by a very cool man in a white coat. The man in the coat is a doggy doctor who makes us better when we are sick. He writes books on what is best to do when we are sick because sometimes the doggy doctors give expensive drugs that make you more sick when it is not really needed. Dr. Jones also tells you how to make good food for us cos lots of dogs got sick and died in America cos the food they ate was no good.
