Doodle speakers are made by OrigAudio, and announced as the world's first and only customizable speakers. The casing is white. The front cover is fabric and can be designed by the customer. They are true portable, travel, mini speakers: The cover area measures about 4.5 x 2.5 inches. The design is very neat and matches well the design of Apple products. The speaker gets powered by the USB cord that comes with it, or by 2 AAA size batteries, and has the standard 3.5 mm. headphone jack to fit in in any standard music device.

OrigAudio themselves claim an amazing sound quality for its size.
We can give them a fancy surface, but what do they sound like? Since the speaker is still new, there are not so many independent reviews around yet. I will add reviews here as they become available.

In contrast to OrigAudio, massive amounts of doodle speaker designs pre-fabricated by designers are available at Zazzle. Already with the launch on May 20, 2011, more than 12,000 different designs were available.Zazzle is a site which offers many pre-fabricated designs that can be personalized by the customer by adding personal photographs into frames that may be part of the design, or by adding text. This, of course, includes the option of adding names or initials. For text, customers can choose between exactly 309 fonts, many colors and of course adjust the text size to their needs.
But also at Zazzle, like at OrigAudio, any customer can design his favorite speaker from scratch. Text and photos can be combined in any perceivable way, and any background color can be added to the composition.

This is the only speaker I found that seems to compare in size to the Doodle, but costs significantly more. Again, customer reviews vary from raving to devastating.
