Small Cat Toys in a Mug or Keepsake Box:
One option you have is to get a gift for the cat. A small cat toy or two is a fabulous, simple little gift for the catlover because they get to see their feline friend enjoy their gift and watching cats play is fun and relaxing (well, usually). I have to recommend that if you go this route, it might be prudent to put the cat toys in a mug or keepsake box that the cat lover can also enjoy! This way you have all of your bases covered and both cat and human are happy! If you're going to put the cat toys in a mug, it might be a good idea to wrap the cat toys in plastic if they aren't already.

The Luxury Cat Toy:
This one is a tough one. We've all seen the giant "Cat Houses" covered in carpeting with two or three tiers and hiding places and their own garage and swimming pool, etc. These are a huge, deluxe gift and before buying one for someone that you know and love it would probably be wise to ask if they have room for it (though I know that would spoil the surprise). Sometimes human houses and apartments are small and some of these cat trees/houses are positively gigantic and expensive. I do however think that this can be an incredible gift for a cat and a human though...just think this one through before you make a purchase!



A Small Cat Ornament:
Ah, here's the old standby! An ornament can be cute and sweet and you don't have to worry about giving a gift that's too big or expensive. It won't take up too much space and it's very thoughtful. If you feel so inclined you could also tie a small catnip mouse toy to the ornament to make it into a gift for both cat owner and kitty! This is a wonderful cat lover Christmas gift idea!



The Cat T-Shirt, Sweatshirt or Hoodie:
This is a wonderful cat lover gift in my opinion. The gift recipient will get a decent, thoughtful gift that allows them to wear their love for their cat or cats in general on their sleeve (or chest in this case). Sizes can be guessed at and there are plenty of online retailers that have great return policies (including cafepress.com) so if you have the wrong size, you can just return it!
