Fun Guy the kids adore
Some background on Spongebob
SpongeBob SquarePants is the fictional main character of the popular Nickelodeon animated television series SpongeBob SquarePants. He was designed by marine biologist and animator Stephen Hillenburg, and is voiced by Tom Kenny. He is a naïve and goofy sea sponge who works as a fry cook in the fictional underwater town of Bikini Bottom.
SpongeBob has achieved popularity with both children and adults, and his asexuality and behavior has created certain controversy around it. The character was involved in controversy when he appeared in a We Are Family Foundation video promoting tolerance. This was criticized by James Dobson of Focus on the Family because of the foundation's link to homosexuality.

Closet fan myself
I am ashamed to admit that I'm a bit of a closet SpongeBob fan. Really, you can't blame me. When you have a child, and spend time with him watching television on occasion, you're going to eventually get drawn into liking one or two of his shows. SpongeBob, actually, can be quite funny at times. One of my all-time favorite episodes is the one featuring the inordinately creepy DoodleBob, the creation of a artistically-lacking SpongeBob and a real-world pencil.

I don't care who you are, almost everyone loves Spongebob for one reason or another. I mean seriously, the show is perfect for kids and adults alike. This is because the kids will laugh at the silly stuff (like getting hit in the head with a rock) while adults will appreciate the more adult humor like when Sandy says: "I'll throw you in jail... at taxpayer's expense." Kids won't get that, making it a perfectly balanced show. I have watched Spongebob from the beginning and I am now 20 years old and still love it. Good lens!
