A snake phobia is quite common among moms - and even lots of dads, although they don't want to say so, especially not in front of their wives. But just imagine. . . Your son now owns a snake. It's gotten out. You have turned over everything in the house to try to find it. But there's no sign of him at all. Not until the next morning. . . when you sleepily stumble into the bathroom to take your shower. And there is the snake in your bathtub!Your scream awakens the entire household. I absolutely loved Flipper growing up. In fact, I still have the first two movies. Flipper and Gentle Ben the black bear even used to swim together. Even a child as young as five generally has a healthy fear of alligators and crocodiles. These creatures are very real nightmares where I live. I stay out of their way, and definitely want them out of mine! So it's hard for me to believe that at one point in time, some gas stations gave you a free baby alligator when you bought a full tank of gas. YIPE!Of course, there are those who from very young ages are absolutely fascinated with these creatures. They devour every bit of information that they can on these "start small things." Why, they are regular experts by the age of 10, if not before. For these youngsters, nice lifelike stuffed animals - alligator and crocodile side-by-side - might be a good idea. I personally think I'd sleep a lot better with that around!
