T-Shirt trends

Vintage Stye Shirts

It seems the old addage is true. Hold on to something long enough and it's bound to come back into style. Thin ties, fat ties, paisley, old style bowling shirts, etc. If you look around, you'll also see vintage style football shirts. Just a jersey style shirt with a couple stripes on each sleeve and a number or simple graphic on them, often times in a distressed manner. These have become increasingly popular among females from preteen and into their, umm, 40's. Cheer, Soccer, and now even Hockey Moms are seen in bleachers across the country wearing vintage style shirts cheering on their future all-stars. I still don't understand why Football Moms never get mentioned, but they wear them too.
You've probably noticed the amount of vintage clothing stores on the rise. For years there have been shops where you could get old Converse Allstar Chuck Taylors, Nike running shoes, old bell bottom levis, Ralph Lauren Polo's and sweaters, and so on. Many of these are sold on consignment. Recently, I was at the local High School football game. They had a box of old items from their spiritwear collection which included shorts, shirts, hats, and blank football jerseys. A Mother purchased several of these jerseys for around $2-3 a piece and had me put names and numbers on them using my cad cutter and heat press. Just like that her kids now have some pretty cool vintage, or old, jerseys to wear around.
So go ahead and check out that vintage store nearby and see what you can pick up. Mixing and matching a few items, you can probably come up with some pretty stylish outfits on the cheap. You'll probably find some pretty cool t-shirts also. Probably a shirt or two you had in your collection many years ago but got rid up when you were told you had to grow up.

BABY BLING

For those of you with kids, you already know it can get quite costly dressing your baby to be seen out in public. After all, who doesn't love a baby all dressed up in a cute outfit. Complete strangers come up to you, or the actually the baby and start playing like it was the own. Because of this, you usually spend more time choosing the babies outfits than you do your own. If your baby is hair challenged, you need to choose a color and outfit that distinguishes your daughter from a boy, and vice versa. How many times has someone come up to your baby girl and commented on how cute he was, or the other way around. It can be quite embarassing.
With our first daughter, we were spending upwards of $60 per outfit, which always included some sort of a hat. She had the perfectly shaped head, but no hair for the longest time. Our second daughter pretty much got the hand me downs. I was the youngest of three boys so I felt the pain of the hand me downs all too often.
If you subscribe to, or pick up at the grocery store checkout line, any of the news/gossip magazines such as People or US, or any of the other magazines we have around our house, you'll notice little articles or ads showcasing web sites for onesies to the stars and so forth. These are the big thing now. Get one or two celebrities to put their baby in a little baby bling, the papparazzi will snap some photos and you make it in the magazine. Forget the fact these screen printed onesies are going for $60 and more. Rhinestuds and rhinestone designs are also very popular for childrens clothing. You can also get them with Baby rattles, nooks, nook holders, all accesorised with Schwartzky Crystals going for hundreds as a set.

If you are on the more practical side of parenthood, and realize your baby is going to put something on, then proceed to spit up right away, then grow out of it shortly after, you want to get some of the same type of bling without spending a lot of coin. This can be done very easily. You can browse sites like cafepress through countless shops for unique, baby items that are sure to please just about everyone
