Why Can't I Find The Copper Ridge Winery?
Have you had Copperridge wine in one of your favorite restaurants, and have loved it's taste and have looked for it but can't find it anywhere? Well, Copperridge wine is actually a marketing ploy by the E. J. Gallo Wineries that offers the brand only to restaurants. It is not found very easily in liquor stores, although some have been able to order it through their local store. For others a substitution or locating it online has been the solution.
For those seeking substitutions, Copperridge has been compared to some of the upper end Gallo Wines, however Turning Leaf is not even close as some have commented. I am still doing research on what upper end Gallo wines will compare to Copperridge.

Copper Ridge Info
The Chardonnay is soft with appealing aromas of apple and peach, and smooth tasting creamy buttery flavors from beautifully blended oak that give the wine body and length on the finish. You can get the 2004 release for $6 per bottle or $72 per case.
The Merlot is a polished, fresh wine with lots of inviting raspberry and blackberry in the bouquet. Medium-bodied with velvety ripe plum flavored fruit, this wine has a nice hint of vanilla on the finish. You can get the 2004 year for $6 per bottle or $72 per case.
The White Zinfindel has lots of summer fruit including strawberry and raspberry aromas. Light bodied, fruity, fresh and delicious with a crisp finish. You can get this for $6 per bottle or $72 per case.

- I bought Copperridge Merlot in my local only because it was on sale but discovered when I tasted it to be an excellant full bodied and very flavorful wine. Goes great with steak or burgers on the grill.

- My husband and I went to dinner at Carrabba's in Daytona Beach. We had a glass of Copper Ridge white zinfandel with dinner. It was just what we look for in wine - light and sweet. Excellent flavor.

- We don't know how we got a bottle of Cab-Sav Copper Ridge. Maybe someone left it at our house at one of our parties. We LOVED it and have been searching for it. I will continue to look.
