Copy DVDs

I have been a lifelong movie fanatic, and have acquired several hundred DVDs of my favorite movies over time. However, recently, the stash has gotten a bit out of control, as well as become difficult to manage and sort through (I won't talk about my girlfriend's thoughts on having 200+ DVD cases around).

I began looking for different options to Copy DVDs to my hard drive or computer, and the more I found, the more frustrated I became. All of the software I tried was slow, hard to figure out, or failed during the copying stages. As I'm not a total geek, I needed something that was pretty easy to understand, and something that wouldn't take forever, since I have so many movies.

Then, a few weeks ago, while I was at Office Depot buying some blank DVDs (I was prepared to start backing up discs that way), when the guy there recommended 123 Copy DVD. I was so frustrated I figured why not, and I'm so glad I tried it. Since I have so many movies, I really needed a dead-simple solution that wasn't very hard and didn't take a lot of messing with. Just enter a disk, and copy. And that's exactly how this works. I actually even got my 62 year old dad to use it and he loves it.

Anyway, I'm just really happy with the program, and thought I'd share my success, and hopefully keep you all from experiencing the same frustration with other programs that I had.

You can download the program here: 123 Copy DVD

And while I don't have a PSP or a video iPod, you can also rip movies to these players as well. Which is pretty cool.

Movies are my downfall. Watching and copying them are my hobby.
