How to Become A Professionsal Copywriter

WHAT IS COPYWRITING?
Well, before I go into the process of copywwriting,I guess it is in place for me to explain what copywriting is. So here it is in a nutshell-Copywriting is Salesmanship in print, as defined by the masters. In other words, copywiting is the process involved in writing a sales letter for your product or service which you want to sell online. It is the advertising copy that you write for your product or service.
I'm sure that by now you're probably wondering that if copywriting as to do with writing an ad for your product or service, then ?I don't need to learn it because I am a good salesperson in the offline world? or?I know how to convince people to buy from me.?Well that may be true in the offline world but online, it's a different ball game all together.
For many reasons, people are always careful about buying things online .Some of these reasons include:
1. Credit card fraud
2. Identity theft
3. Not knowing the credibility of the person that is trying to sell to them.
And so many other reasons.
As a result of this, you have to learn to write your sales letters in such a way that when people read it, they would feel foolish if they didn't buy it. You have to know how to write persuasively and how to appeal to people's emotions. It is a known fact that online people buy things based on emotions and later justify their decisions with logic.
This emotional part of human beings is one of the factors you have to consider in writing your salesletter. Also, in the offline world, it is a known fact or saying that ?A picture is worth a thousand words.?Well online, it is words that sell, not pictures. People are interested in what they stand to gain from using your product or service and this you have to spell out properly in your salesletter. This is known as the WIIFM rule, that is the What's In It For Me rule.
Copywriting is not hard if you are willing to pay the price to learn it. Of course, there are alternatives that you can go along with fi you don't want to learn it and I shall tell you about them as we go along. For now, I want you to just to follow along with me as I teach and show you how to craft a good salesletter, which is also known as web copy.
I will show you the methods used by some the world's top copywriters and at the end of the day, I will also show you my own method for crafting professional webcopy-webcopy that is so arresting and compelling that your prospects have no choice than to whip out their credit cards and buy whatever it is that you are selling.
I have started this lens with just an introduction. In my first post, I will begin the copywriting process in detail.

Sales Letter Writing 101.
Let's get one thing straight - successful sales letters often look the same. Not in tone or in substance, but
in the underlying method of grabbing the reader's attention, drawing them in with juicy details and
eventually, making an irresistible offer and closing the deal. It's quite a bit like blockbuster Hollywood
movies that typically follow the same "good guy / bad guy / happy ending with hot dame" formula (with a few
exceptions, of course).
The method, the formula, the technique - that's the crucial ingredient behind almost all successful sales
letters. Once you can master these basics (and match them with the advice I gave you in the previous
lesson), you'll already be heads and shoulders above 90% of online business owners today.
So, what are these "building blocks"?
l A focused approach to a targeted audience (pre-writing preparation)
l Grab their attention (using a combination of powerful headlines and sub-headings)
l Hold their interest (by quickly reminding your reader why they are here (to solve a problem) and
giving them teasers about the solution you are offering)

3 Ways to Write Your Salesletters

How to Write Killer Salesletters Easily

What is a salesletter?Well simply,a salesletter is the ad or copy that you write whose purpose is to sell your product or service. In the online world,it is words that sell, not fancy or large graphics which could also have the effect of slowing down your loading time, especially if your viewers are on a dial-up modem. So you have to learn how to write in such a way that people that read your sales copy will be motivated to buy.In this article,I shall be discussing 3 methods that you can use to write your salesletters:
1.By hiring a copywriter: A copywriter is someone who is well trained in the art and science of writing ads or salesletters. They are professionals in their field. However at the same time, you must be aware that hiring a copywriter is not cheap. Some copywriters that I have heard about charge $15000 plus royalties on a single salesletter that they write for their clients. If you can afford the fees, then the investment is nothing compared to what you stand to gain in the long run from the sales of your product, especially if the copywriter is very good and knows what he is doing. However,if you cannot afford it or if you feel that the fees are too high, there are other options.
2.By using software: There are softwares available that will enable you to write a salesletter by just pointing and clicking or filling in some blank spaces. As long as you know how to point and click and how to fill in some blank spaces with your own words, you can create your own salesletters in a matter of minutes. Two of such softwares include Instant Salesletters by Yanik Silver and Push ButtonSalesletters by Marlon Sanders.
3.By writing it yourself :That's right! You can also learn how to write salesletter by yourself.I can imagine you saying to yourself "But I've never written an article in my life" or "I don't know the process involved in writing a salesletter".Have no fear friend. The copywriters who charge heavily to write salesletters for clients don't have two brains.Neither were they born with the skill of writing salesletters. They just developed themselves by studying the works of the masters, going for trainings and seminars, watching video tapes and listening to audio CD's and having a swipe file of winning ads so as to be able to generate their own ideas and also use them as templates amongst other things. If you also do likewise,in no time, you also will become a professional copywriter who can charge whatever he/she wants for his services to clients.
