Help With Diabetes
Thanks to the researchers of Wisconsin University, who discovered the CoQ10 (Coenzyme 10). Modern life styles and diet patterns have revealed the importance of this enzyme for body functions. The enzyme with its remarkable contribution in bodily processes has grown in popularity through different studies. CoQ10 reveals its utmost importance in helping the patients with diabetes.
What Does CoQ10 Do In Our Bodies
First we have to look how exactly the CoQ10 works. CoQ10 is essentially found in every cell of the body. It is obvious that every cell needs energy to perform its functions. These cells take this energy from sugar, amino acids and fats. Mitochondrion is the part of the cell that processes all these energy sources, and CoQ10 is the essential part of mitochondria.
What Has Research Shown?
A possible relationship has been found between consumption of CoQ10 and maternally inherited diabetes mellitus (Suzuki, Hinokio, Ohtomo, Hirai, Chiba, Kasuga, Satoh & Akai, 2000). It had been found after three years of taking regular 150 mg of CoQ10 that it prevented hair loss in diabetic patients.
There is a fair amount of research that shows the impact of Coq10 on diabetes related problems. In short, CoQ10 consumption for diabetes will improve the quality of one's life and prevent exacerbation of the side effects of diabetes.

CoQ10 Works At The Cell Level
On the other hand, some researches directly talk about the influence of CoQ10 on the betterment of diabetes type 2. A detailed research on the role of mitochondria in diabetes had found that that there can be two reasons of diabetes, qualitative or quantitative reasons. Qualitative reasons are the genetic problems that can lead to diabetes whereas; quantitative reasons refer to the disturbances in mitochondria DNA.
Research indicates the role of mitochondria on nuclear encoded glucose transporters and vice versa (Lamson & Plaza, 2002). This is the research that has finally led to the importance of taking natural therapeutics, such as, Coenzyme10 to maintain the functioning of the mitochondria. One can come to know about role of CoQ10 in type 2 diabetes. CoQ10 will be helpful in maintaining the function of mitochondria, which will reduce the chances of type 2 diabetes eventually.
CoQ10 appears to help normalize blood sugar in many but not all people who use it but it happens enough that it is becoming an accepted treatment by more doctors every year.

CoQ10 Improves The Whole Body
Peter Langsjoen, from the Texas Cardiology Clinic, studied 140 heart patients with adult-onset diabetes. "About one-third of them were clearly doing better," he says. There was better blood-sugar control and a reduced need for insulin. Among this group, patients went from insulin injections to pills, or from pills to control with diet alone. The diabetic symptoms of the other patients did not change significantly.
The exact way that CoQ10 normalizes blood sugar is not known. Studies suggest that since CoQ10 plays an important role in improving the fundamental chemistry of everything in your body, it may improve the production of the beta cells in the pancreas where insulin is made.

How Should I Take CoQ10?
The simplest and convenient way is to take a supplement combined with Fish Oil. Many health professionals prefer to add a CoQ10 supplement in diet of diabetics. Overall, it is one of the natural ways to deal with diabetes and associated problems. It's inexpensive and there are virtually no side effects.
