My Favorite Power Tool!
As far as I'm concerned, the DeWalt Cordless Power Drill is the "Must Have" power tool for the home handy-man and do-it-yourselfer.
I don't even do a lot of drilling, but I do use it for screws often enough. It may be heavier than a screwdriver, but it's lighter than other heavy duty cordless power drills. That and the convenience of not having to twist a screwdriver, makes the best choice for many jobs.
The DeWalt Cordless Power Drill has 2 speeds and an adjustable torque control that allows you to adjust the power for the size screw you are using, and the material you are screwing into.

Everything I Need Is In The Case
I spent several years as a field service technician working with business phone systems and data networks. I often needed to use screws to mount backboards to walls for the equipment, then I'd have to mount the equipment to the backboards.Sometimes I had to drill holes in walls, floors or ceilings to be able to push cables through, I even had a hole saw attachment to be able to drill holes in counters to get wires and cables through them.
The company I worked for supplied me with a 12 volt model of the DeWalt Cordless Drill, and it pretty much became one of my most used tools. I would carry extra screws, drill bits and small tools in my case, and often I was able to get my service call done using just what was in my drill case.
When I left that position and had to return the cordless drill to my boss, it was one of the first tools I went right out and bought for myself, because over the years I had got myself into the habit of using my company issued Cordless Drill around the house for small jobs.
The fact that my personal use wouldn't be half as much as the professional use of the company drill had been was all the more reason to stay with Dewalt. The company issued Cordless Drill was often used on a daily basis, and lasted for years. I knew for sure that I wouldn't be wearing one out for my own personal use any time soon.

- My husband who is an electrician swears by Dewalt. I think he owns every dewalt power tool out there. Very nice lens.

- Dewalt make very good power tools - price range is perhaps for the serious DIY'er or tradesman though, but you do get what you pay for - IMO, well worth the price
