Another way to build a log home

Imagine a stack of firewood. Now imagine that there is mortar between the logs, the stack forms a wall and the walls make a house. There you have it. A cordwood masonry house built from materials that are natural, renewable, beautiful, strong, cheap and efficient.

just love the concept of the cordwood masonry! Rob Roy i have read all of your books and think i am ready to build a cordwood structure. But i am tossing up the different ideas you give in your books.log endd, post and beam, stack wall corners. Well i would like to start with a small out bldg.Maybe a garage? to live in while preping for the house or maybe just a shed to live in until i feel i am capable of perfecting the art, I have so many ideas from you i dont want to build narrow minded and forget things i wish i could have done along the way..Do you have any more books coming out maybe with more pics of smaller projects you have done. I live in washington state and maybe would like to take a class before i take the plunge.. Is there any near by? Thank you so much for twisting my brain around this consept for the last 7 years..sincerl, Justin tricksdog1@yahoo.com
