I impressed my husband-to-be with my corn chowder and he thought he was marrying a good cook. I do want to learn to make a good seafood chowder though.

This sounds amazing with the diced yams and bacon along with the corn, I think I can almost taste it, this is certainly a step above other corn chowder recipes that I have seen.

I've eaten corn chowder, but never prepared it myself. I'm going to have to give this a try. Sounds great for a cold winter day...with biscuits! Thanks you!

This sounds great and would be so wonderful on these chilly evenings. We love soups and our favorite is what we call Hen Mulligan which has corn, potatoes, onions and hen. It is our traditional Christmas Eve supper. Hey, I need to make a lens about it. We will have to try out your Corn Chowder.

Growing up in the Midwest, we ate a lot of corn-based dishes such as this. Your chowder recipe here really takes me back!

I'm a huge fan of chowders. Must be the Yankee in me, but I'm stuck here in the south surrounded by people who mock my chowder love.

I'm back to print out this recipe. The weather's getting cooler - and it's chowder time!

I love chowder, but my corn chowder always looks so white! Yours looks great -- I'll try it for sure! You've also got so many other really interesting recipes linked here. It looks like a page I'll have to return to in order to discover what else you're cooking up.

Ah, girl, I know this will be fabulous! As much as I like a bit of adventure, I do always return to my country cooking roots. Btw, I love that corn apron.

You betcha I love corn chowder! This is a great recipe. I wouldn't have thought to add zucchini, which we love. Despite our steamy weather, I'm going to have to make this soon. Thanks for sharing!

I do love corn chowder. Your recipe sounds very good with the bacon in it. Never heard of yams in chowder but I'd be willing to try that.
