Food for Thought - Our Weekly Dining-out Review - Weatherfield Recorder

The Rovers Return, Coronation Street, Weatherfield

First impressions on entering the Rovers are favorable. The atmosphere is traditional and friendly. Mrs. Elizabeth Turpin and Miss Bet Lynch who supervise the bar give sparkling service which together with the excellent ales goes some way to compensate for the quality of the food, which alas is well below the standard expected of pub grub in these days of the bistro explosion.
