Hi, I'm Debbie Weil, author of The Corporate Blogging Book (Portfolio 2006). Most folks have heard about blogging by now. So the question is not "what?" but "how?" This page organizes a wealth of links and resources about "big company" blogging so you don't have to go searching through dozens of sites.
Stay tuned. More to come... !

What's a wiki? It's an editable Web page. Very cool and useful.
- Fortune 500 business blogging wiki
- Less than 5 percent of Fortune 500s have external blogs. This may not be a precisely accurate number. But it's indicative of the fact that corporate blogging is still in its infancy as a *public* facing strategy. There are undoubtedly hundreds of internal blogs being run by F1000 companies. I call this the "first silent wave" of corporate blogging in my book
- NewPR Wiki's list of corporate blogs
- This is a constantly updated list which will lead you to examples of blogging by companies large and small. Don't forget that many corporate blogs are "internal" so we can't get to them via a public URL.
- Wiki for NewComm Forum
- Wiki-in-progress for NewComm Forum's March 1-3, 2006 Palo Alto conference. Poke around and you'll find speakers' handouts and other good stuff.
Stats about corporate blogging
- Technorati's February 2006 State of the Blogosphere Part 1
- Filled with charts and graphs that show the continuing explosion in numbers, along with Technorati CEO Dave Sifry's cogent riff on what it all means.
- Technorati's February 2006 State of the Blogosphere Part 2
- More analysis from Sifry. Covers blogs vs. mainstream media, The Long Tail, the Magic Middle and more.
- Best free downloads of 2005
- Includes white papers on blogging and also "the business case" for RSS.

Presented at NewComm Forum in Palo Alto, March 2, 2006
- Hitachi Data Systems - Hu Yoshida's blog
- Jeremiah Owyang, HDS global web marketing manager, talks about how the CTO's blog got started and what's involved in keeping it (and several other senior exec blogs) going. Hint: Hu had to learn how to write like a blogger. And not as the author of a white paper.
- Intuit QuickBooks Online blog
- QuickBooks Online general manager Paul Rosenfeld talks about launching the first blog at Intuit (there are now half a dozen), what he's learned along the way and offers battle tested advice for other corporate managers who want to blog.
- Web Strategy by Jeremiah
- Jeremiah Owyang's perso-professional blog. Yeah, that's one of those made up bloggy words.
