HERE'S WHAT I THINK

Corporate Responsibility is NOT fiction!

Some say that Corporate Responsibility (also called Corporate Social Responsibility) is dead in America, but I believe just the opposite is true. Every year businesses of all types give back to the communities they call home. Why? Well, partly it is because the employees of the company have roots in the comunity and it does matter to them. Partly it is because the companies see it as good public relations. And, best of all, partly because the companies know that it is through the things they do to give back to the community that they are able to build a future for themselves, both through personal enrichment and through community development programs.

Walt Disney is an example of a company with a great Corporate Responsibility program. They not only give back to their local communities but support charitable organizations that reach to communities all over the!

No way, Monkeybrain!

Interior_Concepts says:

Many companies are run with high business/social ethics in mind. However many companies have become entangled in a race for greed and power. Given the current downfall of the markets, instability in the banking, insurance & mortgage markets, it is becoming so difficult to believe that we (the common shareholders, common workforce, common good) are not having the wool pulled over our eyes. Insider trading, poor moral ethics, poor business ethics and lack of social responsibility, in general, could be the greatest downfall of our nation at this time. It is very important that everyone who stands for what is right, fair and honest uphold those beliefs in their daily actions, we need to restore the confidence in the free market and create change through our actions, not laws.
