Cornelia Johanna Arnolda ten Boom, (Corrie ten Boom) (1892 - 1983) Dutch, Christian Holocaust survivor - helped many Jews escape Nazis during World War II.
On April 15, 1983 a precious heroine of the Christian faith finished her life on earth. This was Corrie Ten Boom's 91st birthday. She was said to have been contented about dying on her birthday because she can "celebrate it with the Lord". This lens is a tribute to her, and contains many resources the reader will find useful!

Cornelia Johanna Arnolda ten Boom, generally known as Corrie ten Boom, (April 15 1892 ? April 15 1983) was a Dutch Christian Holocaust survivor who helped many Jews escape the Nazis during World War II. Ten Boom co-wrote her autobiography, The Hiding Place, which was later made into a movie of the same name. In December, 1967, Ten Boom was honored as one of the Righteous Among the Nations by the State of Israel.

- I think I will always remember Corrie Ten Boom's story of forgiveness - forgiving the guard who had held her prisoner. Corrie Ten Boom is one of my favorite heroines!
