The Smallest Swan
The first time I saw a one, I remember thinking that it just looked like a white duck to me. To my untrained eye, they look like a large duck, or a small goose. But after taking photos and videos of them, they do resemble other swans, in the way they sit in the water, and the way they seem to glide more gracefully than a duck or goose, when they swim.
A Nesting Coscoroba Swan
This is the first picture I took of a Coscoroba Swan. She was nesting at the time. I was hoping the she would successfully hatch her eggs.
Baby Swans
A week or so later, I went back, and there they were, Mom, Dad, and the baby Swans. Talk about cute.

It is pretty amazing how fast most birds go from eggs to adult. It seem like such a short time period. It won't be long till these little swans are as big as their parents.

Ugly Duckling Stage, Big Fat Ugly Clumsy Ducklings (Baby Swans)

AT this stage in their growth, the baby Coscoroba Swans, are getting used to their nearly adult sized bodies. If you watch the video below, you will see one of the babies try to get up, and stumbles and falls. They are a little on the ugly side at this stage.
