Cosmetic Dental Procedures and Their Cost

When it comes to cosmetic dentistry, the main thing which tends to put people off is the cost of treatment. Cosmetic dentistry prices vary from practice to practice, however no matter where you go the treatment will never be cheap.

What to Expect with Cosmetic Dentistry Costs

When you are looking into cosmetic dentistry costs, you will see that procedures such as veneers and dental implants are the most expensive. Veneers can look really good, but they do come at a high price and all cosmetic dentists will tell you that whilst they are permanent, they can still be broken. So if you do have them done and you are not careful with them, you could end up paying even more cosmetic dentistry costs on top of the ones you've already paid.

Whilst every cosmetic dentistry practice does charge a different amount of money for treatment, the following is a rough idea of how much you should expect to pay:

· Dental Implants - $3000-$4000 per tooth

· Porcelain Veneers - $600-$1000 per veneer

· Teeth Whitening - Anything from $600-$2600 depending on procedure

· Porcelain Crowns - $800-$1600 per crown

The above is obviously just a rough estimate and it will vary depending upon which cosmetic dentistry practice you go to.

What Cosmetic Dentistry Prices Include

Just like the cosmetic dentistry costs vary from cosmetic dentistry practice to cosmetic dentistry practice, the cosmetic dentistry prices will also include different things too. Some practices will include aftercare, whilst others will include very little apart from the treatment. Generally the higher the cosmetic dentistry prices, the better care you will receive afterwards.

It is hard to give an exact sum as to how much you will have to pay. Cosmetic dentistry prices will vary depending upon how severe your problem is. Sometimes you will have to have extra work done if the work is so severe. For example you may need veneers but you may first need quite a lot of the original tooth removed. Some cosmetic dentists will charge extra if a lot of work has to be done on top of the procedure.

If you look around you will be able to find cosmetic dentists who charge lower prices but you should always be wary of low prices. Ask the cosmetic dentists what the price includes and whether there will be any extra fees. Sometimes it is not made overly clear what the cost of cosmetic dentistry actually is and that can cause problems for many patients.

Overall the cost of cosmetic dentistry will vary from cosmetic dentistry practice to cosmetic dentistry practice. So always do a little research before you choose the right cosmetic dentists to suit your needs.
