Facelifts - Why It Makes Sense To Have A Facelift When You Are Young
Are you too young for a facelift? Things have changed a lot the last twenty years. The age of the facelift patients becomes younger and younger every year.
An increasing number of younger women and men are asking for a facelift nowadays. This has several reasons. The costs went down, more and more cosmetic surgeons offer facelifts and finally new techniques allow better and more effective face lifts than before.
But why would a young woman consider a facelift? The signs of aging vary from person to person. Depending on the lifestyle, sun damage of the skin, alcohol consume, diet, exercise, type of skin and other factors, women want to remove the first signs of aging if they can.
But there is another reason. Years ago a facelift was a meant to be a total makeover of the face. Today, thanks to new techniques and more experience, cosmetic surgery in the face (or any other body area) has become more a matter of maintenance and not restoration.
You can have a quick local surgery targeting a new little problem instead of waiting years for a complete renovation. That is why women visit a plastic surgeon more often for having smaller surgeries in different areas.
There is another advantage to this method. The trauma is much smaller when having little surgeries over time than one big one. Since the age of the patients is much younger in average, they achieve much better results as well. Recovery is quicker and the changes are less visible to the others.
Doctors today recommend that you have mini-facelifts at a younger age then a complete facelift when you get older.
