Who wants some Costa Rica real estate?

North American interest in Costa Rica's real estate market is growing leaps and bounds, with many people looking to buy a home there for an investment, vacation home, or place to retire.  But which markets are most interested in Costa Rica?  You've come to the right spot to find out!

Top 10 Markets Interested in Costa Rica Real Estate

Where are most of Costa Rica's real estate buyers located? You may be surprised!

Thousands of people the world over have discovered how fantastic Costa Rica's real estate market is for them, and more are discovering that right now. So who is interested in Costa Rica real estate. Well, according to Google Trends, here are the following cities most interested in Costa Rica real estate:

1) San Jose, Costa Rica - OK. That's an obvious one.
2) Miami, FL, USA - Understandable as there are numerous flights from Miami to Costa Rica, and there are a large number of seniors in Miami. This is important to note as Costa Rica offers numerous benefits to retirees.
3) Calgary, Canada - Canada? And Calgary? This is actually easy to explain. Calgary has been experiencing its own real estate boom for several years, and Alberta (the province that Calgary is located in) is oil rich. This is a VERY rich province. Many people have large amount of equity in their homes, which they can use to fund the purchase of their Costa Rican property. Oh yeah, and Canada is COLD! Costa Rica is not. :)
4) Tampa, FL, USA - Florida again. See point #2.
5) Denver, CO, USA - Denver has a very large number of real estate investors, so it is not surprising that this city is in the top 10 places interested in Costa Rica real estate. Real estate investors are discriminating - with numbers. If the numbers show that there is investment potential, then it's good enough for them! So to see that a large number of real estate investors are interested in Costa Rica indicates that there is a lot of validity that Costa Rica's real estate market is alive and kicking. Oh, and it's cold in Denver, CO too.
6) Edmonton, Canada - There's Canada again. Edmonton is also in the province of Alberta, and they are also currently experiencing a real estate boom. See point # 3.
7) Orlando, FL, USA - Florida AGAIN?! Hmmm... There must be something to this Florida place. In addition to Florida having a large number of seniors, they also have a large number of real estate investors. See points #2, 4, & 5.
8) Phoenix, AZ, USA - Phoenix is another location that has a large number of real estate investors. See point #5.
9) Vancouver, Canada - Vancouver is not in the province of Alberta (it is in British Columbia), but it is not surprising to see it here in this list.
10) San Diego, CA, USA - Home values in CA skyrocketed during the past, recent boom, leaving many with large amounts of equity in their homes. Many use this equity to buy Costa Rica real estate.
