The Canvas Directs The Paint

Paint Falls Where it May
Most people when they look at my art they see many things. Animals, faces, eyes, landscape, depth, words, or numbers. They can be signs and wonders or some historical past. They have a flow, no matter which way they face in fact the completely change when you rotate them.
The key to understanding what these paintings are: is to understand that because you are looking at them you are changing their existence. Sound a little far fetched?? The way science is going these days it might explain it quite well. By just being the observer you are changing the structure of the painting with the energy coming from your mind. Oil is a living on-going process that will shrink until it is completely dried or forced to dry with chemicals.

PHOTOS WHERE THE COLOR
I saw a sunset with all of it's glory was not as inspiring, as usual, but left me wanting to create. I know the colors I can manifest give the clouds a go for their money.

Flow Are The Rules
The greatest artists of all time hid figures, animals, and hidden dimensions. Can you find any??

Rainbow Reflection
THE MIRRORING EFFECT COMES FROM LAYERS
on the canvas. The colors will push up through the canvas. Trying to build back to their original state. This causes a window into the past layers.
I used some smooth in photo shop or goofy in picnik to move the colors.
It is like taking a balloon and blowing it up underneath your painting. The colors can stretch and contract
Contracting can help focus a painting that is blurred and by taking down the % this will focus to your desire..
Both gives you the control of focused or unfocused effect.
The Fire From Within
Rules, who needs rules??
The best abstract paintings have a constant flow and will change into what they have always wanted to be. I bet your thinking here we go again. No its as simple as thinking about a fountain pen on a piece of paper. What determines the hand writing or drawing the artist does??Think about it this way if the paper was wax paper it would roll down the paper on to your new, shag, Yellow Berber carpet. Maybe the paper is too thin and it leaks right through to the desk your writing on. What if that paper was black? The ink would disappear. On sand paper you run the risk of breaking the pen, leaking, and having no control. Every canvas has a set of rules that are natural to that canvas. All an artist does is add color to manipulate the set of rules.

- Chris, I really like three of your paintings (I like the saturated ones the best). I am into that color whereas the more subtle colors evoke less of an impact for me. It is like you said though (the viewer will see what he or she brings to the work). I particularly like the energy that I feel when I view your work. Keep it up and thanks.
I would like to know how to post some of my own abstract art in a slideshow like the one that you have on this site. I guess I have to dig deeper to find everything that is available on this site. Very creative lens.

- Chris. I really like your latest paintings. Especially the red one on the slideshow. The one at the top I see big breasts and an angel (really).
Can I ask where you got the slideshow (I would like to show some of mine like this). Good work. Thanks from a professional artist (37 years).
Charles
you are always into something cool and I also like your explanation of your art.
