Need a Costume Idea?
Need a Costume Idea for your Office Halloween Party?

Okay so you've been invited to a Halloween party or perhaps your office has a Halloween dress-up day. Now what? Does the idea of coming up with a costume send you into a panic attack? Do you have undue fear and trepidation over coming up a good costume idea? Did your costume planning get procrastinated until the last minute and now you are trying to scrape up an idea that will pass muster at your office party? All of these worries are pretty common at Halloween time but can be easily resolved with a few simple tips.
Minimal Effort Can Work
Just have to be creative!

First of all, many Halloween costumes can be put together with minimal effort or expense. For example, a black sweat suit or black tights and a turtleneck can easily become a "cat" costume with appropriate make-up and cat ears. A pink sweat suit can become a pig or a bunny rabbit. White sweats or a white dress can be dressed up to become an angel by adding a Halo and wings. All you need is a few simple costume accessories and make-up to transform the most basic clothing into a really great costume.
Another easy costume for a guy to throw together at the last minute is that of a "nerd" or a "geek". Take a pair of outdated glasses and remove the lenses and add some tape around the nose area. A collared shirt with a pocket protector and white crew socks will complete the look. Don't forget to add some gel to your hair to give yourself parted down the side "geek" look.
Ok You Bum
Here's one costume idea that won't bum you out.

Another costume that is easy for men to pull off is that of a "bum". Grow your beard for a couple of days so you have some stubble. Add some oversized dirty clothes and put some dirt on your face. Muss your hair and add some gel to hold it tousled. With minimal effort you can look pretty "bummed out". There is always the old stand-by of being a "witch" for Halloween. All black clothing, either a long black dress or pants with a loose fitting black blouse will work beautifully. Add a witch's hat and a broom and you are good to go. If you are especially bold you can paint your face green and add a long black wig. Scary!
Be a Baby!

For those of you that are longing for the good ol' days, you can dress up like a big baby. A large cloth or towel appropriately pinned around your crotch can easily become a large diaper. Add a cute little bonnet, a binky, a blanky and teddy bear and you are instantly taken back in time. This costume can be particularly hilarious on a grown man especially if he is brave enough to bare his chest. This is funny stuff!
Use What You've Got
Costumes can be made from just about anything you have around the house.

All in all, don't let lack of planning set you back for Halloween. You don't have to be the one in the T-shirt that says "This IS my costume". Take a look around the house and see what you've got, add a few accessories and before you know it, you will have a costume that may just win you a prize at your party. Have fun and GO BIG!
