These are my personal very favorite country tunes of all time.
Numbers 41 - 50
- 50) The Dixie Chicks - Wide Open Spaces. - Being from the East Coast and wanting to move out west all alone, this song really was my mantra when I was in collage.
- 49) Johnny Cash - A boy named Sue. - Classic Johnny Cash. Tough, funny, and smart.
- 48) Tim McGraw - Don't take the girl. - The ex-boyfriend who introduced me to country music used to tell me this one was for me. Awwww. At least I got something good out of the relationship...a love for country music.
- 47) Brooks & Dunn - Only in America. - Awesome song about this great country I live in. Came out right after 911 and hit home for me more than any other song at the time.
- 46) LeAnn Rimes - Nothin' Better to do. - Fast, tough, I love it!
- 45) Jamie O'Neal - Trying to find Atlantis. - It's a chick song, no doubt. Aren't we all...
- 44) Little Big Town - Bones. - A little creepy and a whole lot about every one of us.
- 43) Toby Keith - Get drunk and be somebody. - A friday night song if I ever heard one. Can't go wrong with this song in Vegas either.
- 42) Kenny Chesney - Summertime. - Another classic, just in time for summer. Whenever I hear this song I wish I were on the beach in Florida baking away the hours with a cocktail (or two...) in my hand.
- 41) Roger Miller - King of the Road. - A TRUE classic here. My dad got me hooked on this one when I was a kid. It's got the travellin' driving down the highway feel.
31 - 40 - We're getting hotter...
- 40) Taylor Swift - Our Song - The best video ever! If I were an 18 year old girl, this is the song and the video I would want to make!
- 39) Keith Urban - Stupid Boy - Couldn't have come out at a more perfect time...when additions came back to life. Sounds great coming from a man's voice although a very talented lady did write it.
- 38) Sugarland - Stay - AWESOME video. Emotional and true.
- 37) Jason Aldean - Laughed until we cried - Who hasn't been there? A little happy, a little sad...
- 36) Dierks Bentley - Free and Easy (down the road I go) - Another of the great travellin' songs. Dosen't get much better than this!
- 35) Willie Nelson - On the Road Again - Just barely tops the Dierks song listed above. :)
- 34) The Dixie Chicks - Some days you gotta dance - Done first by Keith Urban, the Chicks did it better, faster, cuter, more fun and flirty.
- 33) Danielle Peck - Isn't that Everything - Lovely song about the way I believe life really is.
- 32) Jack Ingram - Lips of an Angel - So soulful, sad, and real.
- 31) Johnny Paycheck - Take this job and shove it - Haven't we all wanted to sing this to a boss at one time or another?

21 - 30 - I can't wait to see #1
- 30) LeAnn Rimes - Good Friends and a Glass of Wine - The perfect song for my Thursday nights. Dinner and wine with my girlfriends.
- 29) Don McLean - American Pie - I don't care if you call it Rock, Southern Rock, or Country, this song deserves a place on my list. It's another that my dad hooked me on and I can't have a playlist without this song on it!
- 28) Brad Paisly & Alison Krause - Whiskey Lullaby - Haunting and beautifully done.
- 27) The Dixie Chicks - Travellin' Soldier - Beautiful song. I can't say more.
- 26) Miranda Lambert - Kerosene - Powerful chick song! Great for workin' out too.
- 25) Kellie Pickler - Things that never cross a man's mind - Just too damn funny and too true.
- 24) Brad Paisley - I'm still a guy - Perfect song coming from a man's point of view...it's Kellie's song done with testosterone.
- 23) Brooks & Dunn - Play something Country - Great for dancin', singin', and listenin' to anywhere you might be. Play me something country!
- 22) Willie Nelson - Grave Digger - Another haunting song. One of his latest and greatest. Most people won't like this one, but I think it's unique, timely, and very valid for Willie in his later years.
- 21) Jamie O'Neal - There is no Arizona - I used to listen to this one in college too...when I wanted to move to Arizona and I thought it was an impossiblity.

- 17) Brad Paisley - Online - Just perfect for this "MySpace" age. One of the funniest I've ever heard.
- 16) Alan Jackson, Jimmie Buffet - It's 5 o'clock Somewhere - Perfect for those times when you need a cocktail before the clock strikes 5. It's always beer-thirty somewhere, right?
- 15) Johnny Cash - Hurt - Although he didn't write it, this song could have been about the Man in Black's life.

Here we go, here we go, here we GO! #10 - #1
We finally made it!
- 10) Toby Keith - I love this Bar - Another "get on the bar and dance" song. If you haven't been to his "I love this bar and grill" you should go, and go when there is a live band...soooo fun!
- 9) Jimmie Buffet, Alan Jackson, George Strait, et al - Hey Good Lookin' - A re-make of Hank Williams original tune.
- 8) Hank Williams - Hey Good Lookin' - Ever seen a top ten with the same song twice? Well you got it right here...I love both versions...but the classic is the better of the two...because, we'll, it's classic.
- 7) Carrie Underwood - Last Name - Probably the newest song in my top 50. This song is just so much the opposite of her "Jesus take the wheel" I love that!
- 6) Miranda Lambert - Crazy Ex-Girlfriend - Too cool..It's a modern day "Maxwell's silver hammer." Thanks dad for turning me on to death and destruction songs...
- 5) Taylor Swift - Picture to Burn - Taylors 18 year old version of Crazy Ex...
- 4) The Wreckers - Stand Still Look Pretty - How often does this happen to a pretty girl? All the freekin' time. We need to stand up, look pretty, AND kick ass! Thanks Wreckers!
- 3) Gary Allan - Best I ever had - Reminds me of someone I'd rather not think about, but it's so haunting...
- 2) Keith Urban - Who wouldn't want to be me? - I LOVE LOVE LOVE this song. When I'm rockin' it...watch out!
- 1) The Dixie Chicks - Not ready to make nice - So powerful and so under-played. This song was a response to so much anger and hatred...It says to the world, "F" off and let me be me, and I'll let you be you.
