Country Story is a relatively new release from Playfish that allows you to take on the role of a small town country guy or gal who needs to build a nice big farm, for whatever reason these Facebook avatars build their farms. It gives very similar tools to FarmVille (a game I'm going to assume you all play or have played at some point), but tosses some fun new ideas into the mix including the need to water your crops, the ability to fertilize those crops, and your stamina bar. Basically, it's the same idea but you need to log on far more often to keep your account running.

To top things off though, Playfish makes a relatively pretty game in their farming sim - something that is fun to look at and to play and that you're going to have a good time getting used to. There is a town view from which you can access all sorts of different menus, including different shops for crops and animals and a place to pick up new quests you can complete.
You can interact with friends in a lot of ways too, including flat out stealing crops from them (though there are limits there). In short, it's a well built game with a lot of depth to it.
