Count Your Many Blessings - A Thanksgiving Celebration To God

...For A God that has given me life, salvation, truth, wisdon, hope, peace, and joy. A God our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ died on the cross for my sins. Who took those sins on himself although I am unworthy sinner and he is a righteous King and Lord.

...For a Father that protects, guides, provides, edifies, exhorts, loves each and everyone of his children just for the asking. Just for us calling on him and asking him he will hear and answer each and everyone of us according to his will.

...For my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who has always been there and always will be there, the friend that will never fall away or missuse the friendship with anyone who will just call him friend.

...For my God who has given me my wife a partner in life, someone I will love and cherish for all my life. Some to stand by myself and be the great women in my life. Someone who showes me there is so much love and so much more to life. Who has given me beauty and colors. Without which I would wither away and my life would be dull, bleak, and colorless.
...For a God who has and will win victory over sin, satan, darkness, and evil. Who will help us to overcome the same sin, devil, darkeness, and evil.

...For a God who has made me blind so I can so a world the blind, deaf, and phiscally handicap can see the light, can know he lives, can take the love and do so much in the world that is so against us, so misunderstanding of us.

...For a God who has given me free will from the bondage of sin, commandments so I may serve him although I am a sinner.

...For a God who inspired the holy world, who has protected it through the centuries, who wont let his word change cause he never changes. He is alpha and omega, he is the biginner and the finisher of all things.

...A God that knows each and everyone of us, knows each and every hair on our bodies, knows us by name, knows us personally and wants that personal one on one relationship with us everyday. The one who will draw near as we draw near to him.

Some of my first Thanksgiving and the best Thanksgivings I had was when I was a child up until my grandma passed away which is when I was 14. I was real close to her and she may my Thanksgiving and my Christmas's very special. Not that I've had some since.

I remember packing up some cloths, toys, and other things to travel to my grandma's house. She wasn't that far really but we did spend a few days with her. I remember traveling the country side gazing out at the fallen snow wearing heavy winter cloths. Going in to meet my grandma and giving her a big hug. Tellig her things in my life. She always telling me how much I grown.

At the table where we always had out Thanksgiving day meal, we had the traditional grace and probably all the traditional foods of the time. There were things like:

Turkey
Stuffing
Mashed Potatoes & Gravy
Candied Sweet Potatoes
Rolls & butter
Corn & Green Beans
Pumkin Pie
Cheesecake
Mincemeat Pie (This was my dads favoriate pie)
Eggnog
Coffee

We all shared in the meal together and the family times while enjoying our meal. When done we all settled in the living room. I usually played with toys when younger while the adults talked. I don't remember what I was doing as I grew up.
