Grocery Coupons in Canada.

Why I Started Looking for Coupons.

Recently TLC aired a new reality TV show based on extreme "couponing". It features people who collect coupons and shop with amazing discounts. I am half way through my maternity leave and have exhausted my savings, with a tightening budget I have decided to start my own challenge to see how much I can save by using coupons. Now, I must tell you that this is not as easy as it sounds, for starters where do you find these great coupons? How do you keep track of which coupons you have? How do you make the most of the coupon for optimal savings? And as any other mom out there may be thinking, where do you find the time to plan ahead?
I will be updating this lens with the coupons I find, where I found them and keep you posted on how much money I have saved so you can do it too.

Where to start

Canadian coupons are out there- Just start paying attention

The first thing I did, ( after the dishwasher was loaded, the kids were in bed , and my husband was happily working away on his laptop) was hit the internet. I did a simple search on GOOGLE "grocery coupons Canada"
I have listed the first two sites I found below and I will keep adding to the list on a regular basis.

The next day, I went to the grocery store and walked the aisles very slowly. I couldn't believe that there were so many coupons just sitting there in the aisles. Next time your in the store, slow down and take a look. One thing I noticed was that the coupons in the aisle were not necessarily in the same aisle as the product on the coupon. So take you time and walk all of the aisles and collect those coupons!

My Favourite Links for Valuable Coupons

To save you some time, here is a list of web sites that provide coupons on a regular basis. Most require that you register with them and send you the coupons via regular mail. I personally have not had a problem with spam from any of these sites, however I do have a separate e-mail address that all my newsletter and commercial type e-mail get sent to. I call it my shopping e-mail address, I look there for coupons and special sales and this keeps it separate from my personal e-mail address where I have e-bills, school notices and " more official business" type e-mails.
Save.Ca

Brandsaver.ca

The Canon PIXMA MX340 Wireless Office All-in-One Printer

I just bough this printer as a gift for my husband through Amazon and it is wonderful! Great quality prints in both black and white and colour. It is not only a wireless printer which allows us to print from our laptop anywhere in the house, but it is a scanner, photocopier and a fax machine. For the price you can't go wrong.
