Grocery Coupons can save you lots of $$$
I never used to use coupons and would always throw away the coupons from the Sunday Paper because I thought it would be too much trouble to cut out a 30 cent, 50 cent or even a $1.00 coupon.
That is until things got tough moneywise and I started cutting out a few coupons and realized that the stores I shopped at would actually double some of these coupons. I got really excited one time when I found a $1.00 coupon for some laundry detergent and the store had them on sale for 2 for $6.00. The coupon doubled to $2.00 so I ended up getting the detergent for only $1.00.
I quickly went to ebay and also searched the internet to see if I could get a few more of these coupons and came across many websites that either sell their coupon clipping service, and even some messege boards where people post deals that they found and even trade coupons.
In the next section, I am going to go over some of these websites (some are free and some cost a little to join) but these have really helped me get a lot of food and miscellaneous items for free or almost free. We have saved as much as $130.00 in one shopping trip. It has almost gotten to be an addiction for me checking the message boards daily and trading with other members for coupons I need

Following are links of the websites that I use almost daily
- Coupon Mom Website - Register Free
- I use the Couponmom website every week. It has a database of grocery stores by state and it lists the grocery store deals that are happening that week. It even goes as far as telling you what coupon can be used and what issue to find it in. These issues are the Smartsource and Vallasis inserts that come in the Sunday paper. I've learned you have to save each insert and get family and friends to save these Sunday newspaper inserts for you so that when a sale happens at your local grocery store, you have plenty of coupons.
Couponmom also has a virtual coupon organizer which lists the coupons that are available in your area. You can search for the product you want to find out if there's a coupon for, and if there is one, it will list it and also list which issue it was. - Refund Cents - Small Subscription Fee but well worth it!
- Refund Cents is about refunding and also has a great message board called Centsible Chat where the members talk about sales or specials they are finding at their local markets, pharmacies, target or walmart.
There is a lot of information here including how to start refunding. Refunding is where you find a form on specially marked packages or on tear sheets by a display, or even in the Sunday coupon inserts papers. These forms you have to fill out and send in the form along with the grocery store receipt for the product you purchased and you will get a rebate check for the amount specified on the form.
I recently had a coupon for toothpaste that was on sale for $2.00. I had a $1.00 coupon doubled to $2.00 so the toothpaste ended up being free. I then found a form which was a Try Me Free form. Basically the manufacturer of the product wants to give it to you for free so that hopefully you get hooked on the product and you continue to buy it. This form I sent in along with my grocery store receipt, circled what I paid for the product (which was $2.00) and a few weeks later, I received a check for $2.00. Not only did I get the product free, but I made $2.00!!
The message board at refund cents really helps a lot, but they also have links to refund forms, and a trading board where you can trade with other members for forms or coupons you may need. If you can afford the online subscription which includes a print magazine, I really recommend this. You can sign up for $8.00 for only three month. - Hot Coupon World
- Hot Coupon World is a forum I frequent. They have a huge list of grocery stores and drug stores. I am sure you will find a forum here with the grocery store you shop at. Forum posts here for grocery stores aren't too great for my stores, but I love their CVS Pharmacy forum.
If you have a CVS Pharmacy by you, I highly suggest that you go to their store and sign up for their ExtraCare care. CVS has a rebate program like no other. Instead of the hassle of filling out the rebate forms, sending it in, and then waiting for the check to come in, CVS actually prints the rebate directly onto your receipt. It is called Extracare Bucks or ECB's as everyone refers to them. I have gotten so many free items from CVS just by reading the forums here: CVS Forum
Coupon Clipping Services
- The Coupon Clippers
- The Coupon Clippers is a coupon clipping service. I use them frequently to get the extra coupons I need. Never any problems and coupons are received quickly.
- The Coupon Master
- The Coupon Master is also another great clipping service. I have used them occasionally and have received great service.
Online Grocery Store Coupons
Only thing with this is that I would check with your local grocery stores as some do not take internet printed coupons. I have check with my three stores, and they all do accept them, but I have read on a few chatboards that some stores will not take these whatsoever. If they do take them, I would utilize this service and print coupons at home.
- Smartsource - Online Printable Coupons
- Smartsource.com - Yes, this is the same Smartsource as the printed issues that are in the Sunday Paper.
- Eversave.com
- Eversave is another great resource for grocery store coupons that you can print at home.
Reader Chit Chat - Post other great coupon forums to help us all out!

Get Grocery Store Coupons on Ebay
I find that coupons that you get in your local paper sometimes are for more or less coupon savings for some products. I think that the bigger cities get more $$ off than some small towns out there. I regularly check on ebay to see if the item I am going to go get has any coupons out there for more $$ off per coupon.
