Coverting PDF's to eBooks for Free

Ranked #18,271 in Computers & Electronics, #362,920 overall

What is this all about?

Hi guys,

of lately, I have been wondering if it was possible to convert PDF's to eBooks, in order to be able to properly read them like a book on an iPad, an Android, or another tablet platform supporting eBooks. Well, I did some Googoling and I found a pretty cool free program which might serve you guys for whatever purpose you want it for.

I have noticed, after all, that more and more people are switching from reading an actual paperback book bought at the local library, to the more techno side, and buying Kindles and all. However, these eBooks are also quite expensive. Isn't there a way of using those old PDF's I downloaded for free from the internet? Cannot they be made into an eBook without having to know complicated programming routines or a hacker (both time consuming and probably expensive) ?

After all, there is, and this is what I want to show you guys in this lens. I will also tell you where you can download any book, magazine, or document you want for free as a PDF. We will then convert them into our own eBooks which we will then upload into whatever eBook reading device you have.

So sit back and enjoy the show!!!

The Program

The program its called, unsurprisingly, "PDF to ePub Converter". ePub is one of the most standard eBook formats. Another one is OPF, but if you are aiming at publishing for iPad, per example, use ePub, since this is the native format supported by the iOS platform and by many other popular tablets. It is extremely easy to use, and very intuitive. Just add your PDF to the exporting list, change some basic settings, such as the Title, the Creator name (yours) etc. The rest is done for you.

Pretty simple isn't. And best of all, it is for free!!!

Downloading It (For Free...)

No Piracy

This program can be downloaded for free at CNET. Just follow this link I post below:

It is virus free. I however, always run a security scan every time I download something from the internet, and I recommend you to do the same.

Publishing

this is for real

Yes, this is for real. Once you have your eBook, you can upload it to your iPad, Android, etc. You can also publish it at various publishing websites. Be careful however that you do not infringe any publisher rights. Make sure that if you are selling it, it is original work or that you have a license to distribute it, because if not you might be fined.

For instructions on how to upload to your different devices, please consult the official webpage, they all have a chapter on these. For Apple users, per example, you just have to import it into one of your iTunes libraries (there's one for Books) and then sync your device.

Enjoy and see you back later.
