Whether out of stupidity (like me) or misplaced loyalty, a lot of people have tattoos that they regret and want to get covered.
Tattoos are a mirror to who we are, they should be worn with pride!
The art of tattooing has come so far in the last few years that getting an awesome new piece of coverup ink, over the old one is a real possibility.
In the past, the three B's, big, black and bold was the only way to cover old ink, but not any more. Even old black tribal can be covered with stunning and vivid color pieces.

Deciding on your coverup

So now you have something on you that you really not happy with, or you wouldn't want to cover it.
The first step in getting the cover is to look at what you want covered and see what your choices of cover ups are.
Is it an old tribal? Has it spread? Is it just a big fat blob? Or is something that can just be touched up too look good again?
Depending on how long ago the original was done, also depends on what is going to cover it. Having hand made tattoos out of India ink are more difficult to cover than old tattoos done with a gun, the ink is darker and being done by hand means it is usually deeper than a tattoo that was done with a gun.
If it is an older tattoo then hopefully it has faded some, the more faded it is the more chance you have of being able to use brilliant color.
Obviously you wouldn't be able to cover black with say yellow. Black, red and green are very difficult to cover but not impossible.
Will you have to go with the three B's? no, not nessesaraly, shop aorund and find a tattoo artist that specializes in cover up work, the investment will be well worth it at the end of the day.

Most cover-ups are bigger than the original tattoo, so you have to figure out how big you want to go.
