"Not a bunch, herd", her friend replied.
"Heard of what?"
"Herd of cows."
"Of course I've heard of cows."

More cow information

General cow knowledge.

According to the Nebraska Cattle Feeders Association; there are approximately 1,940,000 cows in this state alone. There are 1,783,432 humans living in Nebraska. They do some pretty severe damage to cars when they wander across the interstate, can you imagine what would happen if we all woke up one morning and cows were more intelligent than people? I'm just sayin'...

When traveling through many of the mid-western states, it is not uncommon at all to see many herds of cattle grazing on the vast amounts of pasture land throughout the area. Holstein are the cows with the black and white spots and Guernsey are the brown cows. Have you ever noticed a herd of cattle and seen one or two completely white cows? They actually have their roots from cows from France called Charolais. They first made their appearance in the United States in the 1930's and since then have been interbred with local cattle. Although white cattle are rare, you do see them occasionally in various herds throughout the country. Now you know.
