Cowboy the Cat

This is a lens all about our funny curious Cat named Cowboy

Four years ago my fiance and I went to the local pound in hopes of adopting a Pit Bull. When we arrived the animal control Officer said he had to let
His " partner out" He went to a small kennel in his office and opened it out walked a small Orange tabby Cat.
while walking among these pit bulls my fiance had been telling the officer what kind of dog he wanted. the officer turned around looked at me and
the cat and said " your not taking home a dog today man" .... Alden turned and looked and asked " how much for the cat?" we named him Cowboy and he's been our baby ever since.

why we named him cowboy....

We are asked all the time why we named him cowboy?
It's a rather cute story, when we adopted him they were calling him Tom Cat. Well by his obvious not answering to it we just
knew this wasn't his right name...
On our drive home he laid down on the dash of the truck, and going over some rough roads I said to him " that's not a good place to sit cowboy"
and he perked right up and got down and sat on my lap. so from that point on we have called him Cowboy.

Bwah ah ah ah

Cowboy

Cowboy was known simply as " Tomcat" when we adopted him from the pound . He was maybe a year old when we got him,
he's a true member of our family.
Definitly a little clown, he's not known for his grace but he's always got a kiss for you!
this is a lense to remind everyone that some of the best pets in the world you can ever know are shelter pets....
Cowboy was just one type of cat....
and now he's our little baby! please adopt a pet from the shelter....
they'll love you

Our trip to Oregon

His favorite treat of all is White frosting, and favorite food is beef tips and gravy ....
We couldn't image life without our little man.

    Cowboy looks like a fur-ball of entertainment! I have an orange cat too, named Depot (after Home Depot). All the cats I've had have found me...there must be a sign up somewhere! I can't go to the pound because it breaks my heart that I can't take them all home! Very cute lens!

    What an awesome lens, thank you for sharing your Cowboy with us. I would have a cat if I was not allergic to them. They are hilarious. My mother has 4 right now.

    Cowboy is adorable! Thank you for adopting a shelter pet, I am an animal activist and post as many shelter animals as I possibly can every day. ALL of my family's pets have been rescues or shelter animals for all of my 53 years of life! Great lens and God bless you! P.S. Thank you for reading and "liking" so many of my lenses!

    Oh ... I am in love with Cowboy! My mom says that the orange cats make the best pets! And, Cowboy reminds me of the stray cat that's been coming to visit out back. Cute pics!

    thanks he's definitely our baby! i'm always taking pics of him.... that's why he's not fond of the camera lol he's the best cat i've ever owned lol he meows at the door when someone knocks on it. Very protective of me when i'm home alone :D
