Cows were my moos (oops, that's muse!) while living in Oklahoma
A "purple cow" led me to Squidoo, so I thought my first lens would be in honor of... Cows, of course! The "point" I am driving at (purpose of this lens) is that what we chose to be our artistic muse is as open ended as the depth of our creativity and for some reason I have always adored cows.
Pushing 46, I still get excited ("Oh, Look at the Horsies" (or doggies... etc) Whenever I might happen to pass by "nearly" any form of animal while driving.. .Maybe that stems from the little girl part of me, or most likely from the fact that my dad was always pointing out anything and everything under the sun to us when my brother and I were kids?
Photographed (back in 2004) with my "then working" Toshiba PDR-M70 Digital Camera, digitally enhanced with various photo-editing software. I admit I am a born hacker who just happens to calls themselves an artist when it comes to the area of photography. If you are a bovine fan, take a peek at these lovely subjects!
Of course, my love of cows could orginate from the fact that I was born and raised a "Jersey Girl" for the first four decades of my life?

"Moosworthy" stories from Bovine World
Live Chicken eating Cow on the Loose in West Bengal! No, it wasn't reported by the National Enquirer or the Star, this is the real deal. I found this story on the Scotsman whose source was a genuine Reuters report.
When chickens started disappearing from a West Bengal (India) villagers home the usual suspects (wild dogs) were first thought to be the culprits but further investigation found that the poultry eater turned out to be his own calf - Lal!
Although vets attribute this meat eating phenomena to some strange disease, the owner who adheres to beliefs in reincarnation has the answer for all of this... Lal was a tiger in a former life. As a Christian, I can't buy into that particular scenario... but I do have one of my own. My guess is that Lal was overcome by temptation after seeing one too many Kentucky Fried Chicken ads. Now that's fast food!
Sometimes the truth is stranger and far more interesting than fiction.
