Let's visit the Danish capital
Copenhagen has many fine and interesting sites and sights. Some of which I will show here.
The capital was originally centered in the middle of the Danish Kingdom. But as time has passed, Sweden and Norway opted to become sovereign states.
So now Copenhagen is a border city, only separated from Sweden by a few kilometres of water, called Øresund. 30 km to the north we have a another famous city, Helsingør (aka Elsinore), home of Hamlet.
Just to the south there is another island, Amager, largely populated, and also where the airport is. The bridge to Sweden starts on Amager.
The bridge to Sweden, Øresundsbron, is seen in the background.

Many of the old warehouses in the harbour areas have been modernized and are now used for offices and apartments. This warehouse is called Nordatlantens Brygge, and is the home of officials from the Northen Atlantic; Greenland and Faroe Islands. This building also houses one of Copenhagens finest restaurants: Noma.
Downtown Copenhagen it is customary to find townhouses with different coloured facades.
A staircase from one of older houses in Copenhagen.
The biggest bank in Denmark, is called Danske Bank.
An orange sunshade against a wall outside a store in downtown Copenhagen.
This is one of the vast amount of doves that lives in the city, pickering the garbage.
A backyard. In the older parts of the inner city, there are backyards. Many of them have been modernized and freshened up with bright colours and new and modern doors and windows.
A boat in the inner harbour close to the area known as Christianshavn (Christian's Harbour)
This is from the large pedestrian street called, Strøget. This is the main shopping road in Copenhagen. It runs from the Town Hall Square to Nytorv (New Square). The betler is one of the many professional betlers seen in the city. Often they are "hired" workers from Eastern Europe.
A very famouse fountain. The Storch Fountain (Storkespringvandet), it is located almost halfway up Strøget.
This is Rundetårn, the Round Tower. It is part of the Church of Trinitatis in Copenhagen. This is a very popular sight. Inside a path (no stairs) spirals all the way to the top. Visitors can go to the top and look over the city from 40 meters up.

If from far away, flying is the optimal solution. Copenhagen Airport (CPH) is only 10-15 minutes by car, metro or train away from the center.
