Summer is coming! And your cracked dry heels will not make the grade. Oh, the punishment our feet take. High heels, they are stuffed in boots throughout the winter, left to dry in the hot sun for summer--this results in problem for your heels. How about carrying all that weight around day after day? Whatever can you do for your cracked heels? Well, there are things that you can do to bring about the relief you desire. Here's what possibly caused them.

--obesity. The effects of too much weight for your feet to bear can have devastating consequences on your heels.

--prolonged standing on hard surfaces.

--living in unsanitary conditions.

Buy some massaging oil and give your feet a good massage once in awhile.

What to Do for Cracked Heels

soaking--To soften your heel skin try giving your feet a soothing soak in warm water with some bath salts.

--When you have thoroughly cleaned your feet, dry them with a soft towel and inspect them. Look for any calluses, athlete's foot, bunions, or corns. And be sure to dry thoroughly between the toes.

--With a metal file or pumice stone rub off any hardened skin on your heels and feet that you found while doing your inspection.

--Then go to work rubbing in a skin softening cream. Massage all the areas of your feet and right up the ankle.

--Socks should be worn after moisturizing your feet.

--Flax seed oil is another remedy that you may try.

--Go ahead and address any athletes foot, corns, or bunions at this time. The instructions will be on the package.

--At the beach walk in the sand without sandals so your feet will be smoothed by the sand and exercised.
