Arts and Crafts for Children - Kid Crafts Galore!

Kids love crafts and moms, teachers and day care providers are always on the hunt for new crafts for kids. I'm now a grandma, and I still love kid crafts of all types. My favorite subject in school was art; I joined scouts and 4-H because we learned new crafts to make decorations, cards and gift for upcoming holidays.

I collected old cigar boxes, shoe boxes, paper towel rolls, bits of lace or ribbon, tile and wood pieces, buttons and natural objects so I could make gifts and crafty decorations all year long. (Okay, I confess - I still do collect all this stuff for crafting.) My birthday and Christmas lists were filled with two things: art supplies and anything to do with horses.

I've grown beyond the horse wishes now that I'm a grandmother, but my family knows I love to receive arts and crafts supplies, crafts books, crafty magazine subscriptions or sewing "stuff" as a gift for any occasion.

It's My Niche on Squidoo, and on the Internet

I spend much of my time designing crafts or making crafts, and I create art with my computer almost every day. It's my passion, and I blog about it and I've created many Squidoo lenses about crafts, clip art and coloring books.

I started my first web site in 1996 - a parenting portal, like an online magazine - chock full of free articles, recipes, freebies and crafts for the whole family. A few years ago I decided to create 2 new sites that focused on the most popular topics on my web site: paper crafts, clip art, printables and coloring books.
