String and Balloon Easter Eggs

When I was little we used to make Easter eggs out of string! I don't remember the exact directions, but you need balloons (we used huge ones), string (pastels and multicolors are pretty, or try one of the new textured strings), and starch or a glue and water mixture (try Modge Podge).

Blow up the balloon and secure with a knot. Dip the string in the starch or glue mixture and wrap around the balloon in all directions. When you have the balloon covered like a thick spider web, set it aside for a day or two to dry.

Pop the balloon with a pin and carefully remove. Cut a hole in the side of your egg, fill with grass and treats!

Below are some better directions than what I remember.
