Craigslist Proxy

The need for many people needing a Craigslist Proxy continues to grow and it's no wonder.

Craigslist is the world's largest online classified website, and it is mostly free. These two factors result in a contantly growing source of traffic to Craigslist. Such an enormous amount of traffic brings with it opportunity. A chance to sell your unwanted goods, find a better job or even move out of your current house and into a better one.

On the flipside, it brings the opportunity of taking your products and marketing them online at a website that has a seemingly endless stream of people wanting to buy items and things online. Craigslist is aware of the amount of traffic they get and in turn have taken steps to control the flow of this traffic and remove any unwanted people. These people are typically spammers. Craigslist is a great place to sell something and they welcome you to do it for free, but just don't spam.

The recent introudction of phone verification and limitation on html are just a few steps Craigslist has taken to try and control spam on their sites. Behind the scenes, they have a very complex system setup that constantly scans ads and IPs looking for any signs of abuse or spam. In the case of IPs, if an IP is suspected of spamming (abusing the boards by posting thousands of ads in a very short period of time) then it will be black listed. Black listed meaning that any requests to post ads from that IP again on Craigslist, will result in failure. The ads will not show up and there is no reason or sign of why. By using a proxy users are able to unblock Craigslist by getting a fresh or unique IP.

Much like the Myspace proxies and many other sites around, I think you will see a continued growth in the need for a Craigslist Proxy as time passes and more and more people realize the value that Craigslist has to offer.

Selecting the Best Craigslist Proxy

Knowing that you need a proxy to post on Craigslist if you are outside of the USA and knowing what to look for in one are two very different things. I hope these tips can aid you in finding a reliable proxy.

* Make sure it is 100% anonymous - More often than not, you will see sites claiming that the proxies they provide are anonymous. However, you will find cases where this isn't exactly true. You can check just how anonymous your proxy is by visiting http://www.whatismyipaddress.com and seeing what is displayed. If it detects that you are using a proxy, then it isn't anonymous and Craigslist will also be able to see you are using a proxy.
* Multiple IPs - Don't take anything less than a few IPs if you are looking at posting lots of ads. Just one IP won't allow you to post enough. Using a proxy provider that supports several IPs is something you should consider.
* FAST - Proxies that perform like dead horses aren't uncommon. So slow in fact that it would take years to do what you need. Surf around the internet and see how fast sites load up. Don't bother with anything higher than 400ms ping speeds.

I hope those tips help you in finding your very own and hopefully reliable Craigslist proxy.

Craigslist Phone Verification

Like it or hate it, Craigslist phone verification is here to stay. I would go so far as to say that it will most likely be spreading into other sections of Craigslist very shortly. Why? Simply because it has done a great job at reducing the amount of rubbish posts at Craigslist. If you don't believe me, just go to the sales job section of any free craigslist site and look at the sheer number of MLM spam posted ads. Then go to the same services section and you will see that the services section are very neat, tidy and clean. Completely void of the crap that used to be there. Craigslist phone verification will no doubt move into other sections such as jobs in the near future when they have finished their run in the services. So this would be a good time to start getting your phone numbers, verified accounts and a Craigslist Proxy so you can safely post on Craigslist in the near future.

Clickable Ads on Craigslist?

Beside using pictures, another method to increase traffic from Craigslist is just to make your ad clickable. You could do this by making text or images on Craigslist clickable via hyperlink. Couldn't have been simpler? Well, keep on reading. I would recommend that you don't places links straight from Craigslist to your primary website. Instead, use a secondary site as a go between. Go from Craigslist to your disposable site and then redirect from your this site to your primary site. Why bother to go through all this trouble? You need to avoid using the same link again and again on Craigslist to prevent a ban. Everytime you try to post an ad with a link that is banned by Craigslist, there is a good chance your ad will be ghosted. So, avoid going straight from Craigslist to your main site. You can also consider having more than one secondary website. More than one go between website address means Craigslist will have a harder time identifying which ads you are posting. Besides using your own Craigslist proxy, this is just another way that you can increase the amount of traffic, leads and hopefully money that you can generate from Craigslist.

Don't Post too Many Ads From Your IPs

Craigslist is careful about how many ads you can post from an IP. You probably are interested in knowing how many ads they can post from one IP on their Craigslist proxy without raising any alarms. There are quite a few different opinions on this and the answers vary a lot. In general, don't post anymore than 20 ads per day from any one IP. More than likely you probably could do more than this but it would draw attention, so it is not advised to go beyond 20 ads per day. If you do post more than this your ads probably will stick, but over a prolonged period of time you may find that your IP is blocked. You also need to take into consideration the number of IPs you have access to. With a limited number of IPs try and post as many as you can to take advantage of your proxy server. However, do not post all the ads at once from each IP. It is better to change your IP between posting ads. If you don't do this, Craigslist will soon be able to detect that one person is posting several ads.

The Best Way to Use a Craigslist Proxy

Let's take a minute before learning about a Craigslist proxy and, let's take a quick look at what a Craigslist proxy is all about.

A Craigslist proxy is a system that takes data or request from information from a user and passes this onto a server. When we are connected to a proxy server we can send a request for a webpage, file, connection or any of these resources available on other servers.

So then, how to use a Craigslist proxy? It's quite simple. Proxy server IPs come in numeric format, like 111.111.111.111.111. A Craigslist server prevents Craigslist from seeing your true IP and is really a go between while you are using Craigslist. The IPs from your Craigslist proxy are simply used in any web browsing software such as Internet explorer.

It's always better to learn how to use a proxy server as it is one of the safest ways of surfing on Craigslist. Once you've learnt how to use a proxy server you can maintain anonymity while browsing Craigslist, you can therefore post a lot more ads and expand your campaigns on Craigslist.

In addition, it is a good idea that you take some time and learn how to best use a Craigslist proxy while posting ads.

Do Webproxies Work As Craigslist Proxy?

You are more than likely heard of web proxies before. There is a common belief held by many that a webproxy is suitable to be used as a Craigslist proxy. However, this simply doesn't work. The main problem with webproxies is their lack of anonymity. If you want to be able to post advertisements on Craigslist with as little trouble as possible then this is something you need to pay attention to. Webproxies can be identified as webproxies by anyone who examines any IP coming from a webproxy. This makes it extremely easy for Craigslist and other sites to first inspect the true nature of an IP and if it is detected as a proxy any ads coming from the IP are banned. Just because webproxies are free and in abundant supply, they do not make a good tool for posting ads to Craigslist with. This obviously doesn't work and they quickly become frustrated. For those wanting to post ads to Craigslist you will need to dig into your pockets and invest in your very own Craigslist proxy.

How Many IPs Should I Get On My Craigslist Server?

The exact number of IPs you should get with your proxy is dependant on a few factors. How much money you can spend on your proxy and just how many ads you would like to post on Craigslist play an important role. If you don't have enough IPs you can't post enough ads. So if you are looking to posts heaps of ads make sure that you get as many IPs as you can afford. Would a few ads each day be all you need to put on Craigslist? Or do you need to get hundreds of ads up? Anyone who wants to be a casual poster and post only a few ads shouldn't need more than 1 IP on their proxy server. Anymore than this would be a waste of money and resources. However, if you are looking to post 100 ads or higher then you will need to invest in at least 5 to 10 IPs to start with. A commonly accepted rule is that for every 10 ads you post you will need one unique IP. This will allow you to easily and quickly evaluate if you have enough or not enough IPs on your Craigslist proxy to fulfill your posting needs.

Can I Get Different IPs For My Craigslist Proxy?

Do you own or will you be setting up a Craigslist Proxy soon? If so make sure you get IPs from as many different C class IP ranges as possible. C class IP ranges aren't talked about much, but by not making sure you are using IPs on your proxy server from different C class IP ranges you are opening the door to be blocked by Craiglsist.

IPs are seperated into four ranges, A B C and D. These ranges are used to identify the network and network ID. Everyone on the internet is assigned an IP which is used to identify them while they are online. Most people know that by going offline and then back online you are able to change your IP, but more often than not it is still within the same IP range. This allows companies and other people to more easily identify your activities as even after changing your IP, it has not changed significantly so they are unable to find any similarities or patterns in user activities. It is more than possible that this is exactly what Craigslist uses as part of their system to filter out spam. Using different C class IP ranges on your proxy server would definitely make it much harder or almost impossible for Craigslist to do this.

As mentioned above, Craigslist could potentially be able to log and block your activity online if you are using IPs that are from within the same C class IP range despite posting from different accounts (as your new IP is similar to the last and may make it possible for your activity to be flagged or detected). This very same concept of using different C class IP ranges applies to proxy servers and is something you should pay great attention to. Typically, most IPs on proxy servers are all from the same C class IP range, this is something you should try to avoid. Remaining anonymous is very important for anyone posting ads in quantity on Craigslist, so be sure to get a Craigslist Proxy with IPs in different C class IP ranges.

Are My Ads Getting Flagged Because of My Craigslist Proxy?

Never seem to be able to post an ad on Craigslist without it being flagged? A lot of people seem to think that ads are flagged due to some IP or proxy reason.. This is not the case.

Ads on Craigslist are flagged by members of Craigslist and not actually any spam filters. The following reasons are typically the main cause of people flagging your ads:

A. You're posting what are obvious spam ads. In terms of content, posting frequency or posting locations.

B. A competitor has spotted your ads and has decided to flag you down to stop you selling and make it easier for them. They will simply flag you off to remove the competition. There are actually groups of people who get together and do this.

Most of the time the reason your ad was flagged was because one of the above happened. It usually is not due to your Craigslist proxy.

Should I Use Passwords On My Craigslist Proxy?

Thinking about setting up a Craigslist Proxy and curious about why or if a password is really needed to access it?. While having to enter a username and password can be time consuming when trying to access your proxy, it is vitality important. Proxy servers are machines out in the open on the internet and therefore can potentially be accessed by anyone. However, some may think that finding the IP of your proxy server is next to impossible due to the large amount of other machines and IPs on the internet. Technology today can allow someone to potentially find your proxy server with great ease by simply scanning IP ranges looking for servers that are not secured with a password. Due to this you should never setup a proxy server that doesn't use a password. If someone else gains access to your proxy server then you can be held liable for any damages that they do through the use of it. Instead of not using a password, look to use software the can save usernames and passwords for the IP ports on your proxy to save time. These software programs still allow you to save time by not having to type passwords and agand again but allow you to keep the level of safety that your Craigslist Proxy requires.

Can Craigslist Track Craigslist Proxy Activity?

Are you putting ads on on Craigslist via a Craigslist Proxy? If so, is it possible that Craigslist knows your every move? The answer to this is in how anonymous your Craigslist Proxy is. If your proxy server is an elite or exclusive proxy that you configured yourself and are the only one who uses it, it should be safe to say that Craigslist is in the dark about your activities. However, if you are posting on Craigslist with a free or shared proxy server, then there is a good chance that everything you are doing is completely visible. Free or shared proxy servers typically perform poorly when compared with elite or exclusive proxy servers. The main reason is due to their how anonymous they are and that elite proxy servers typically can not be detetected as a proxy server. Furthermore, you may be using a server that has several people on it who also post on Craigslist.. It isn't a great idea to share IPs with other people who might be doing the samething as you on Craigslist, right? Obviously not. If you are using an elite Craigslist Proxy then you should be safe and anonymous on Craigslist.

Craigslist Proxy - Can't Get Ads On Craigslist

Ads not going live on Craigslist? Tried everything and not sure what the problem is? This could be due to a number of reasons why you might be having problems getting ads to go live on #keywoird#. Here are a few tips to help you out and hopefully get your ads to go live.

First, avoid using spammy words or phrases which aren't appropriate to the category. If you are posting in the for sale section, avoid posting unrelated ads such as work at home ads. Craigslist has several spam filters in place that constantly monitor for any unrelated or irrelevant keywords. Each section on Craigslist is different and most likely uses a different set of filters. Second, avoid using any special html codes outside of what Craigslist supports. Craigslist may block any ads which use html codes that are not supported by their site. Third, try to limit how many ads you post each day. Generally speaking only post 1 ad per IP per day. Posting more than this this will work, but posting an excessive amount of ads increases the chances that you will be flagged. Finally, don't post ads with external html images. Some section do permit the use of html images but posting images still increases the chance your ad will be blocked. There are sections which do not permit images and ads with images will never go live in those sections.

Putting ads up on Craigslist can be annoying, but by following the above tips you should reduce the amount of trouble. You may also consider looking into a Craigslist proxy to improve the rate of your ads going live.

Rent or Setup My Own Craigslist Proxy?

When it comes to a Craigslist proxy, you can go about it two ways. You can rent one from someone else or just setup your own. When is it best to rent and when is it best to setup your own? If you are a heavy poster and user of Craigslist, you should probably consider creating your own server. Just how much is a lot? Anymore than 50 a day, would mean that I would consider setting up my own. Less than this and you should be ok with renting IPs from someone else. Renting IPs from other people is fine, but usually they come at a much higher price compared to setting up your own. If you need to post a lot of ads on Craigslist, look at investing into your own Craigslist proxy instead of renting from someone else. You will save a bundle of money.
