I Found This Great Offer For An RV On Craigslist Los Angeles

2007 Vortex 26' Toy Hauler, many extras, 2 tv's, ready to go!!

We bought this 2007 26FS Vortex featherweight toy hauler brand new last December, slow business forces sale. No damage, super condition, only used it 6 times. Cost $32,000, put in 20" tv/vcr/dvd in main area, 15" flat LCD in master bed room with dvd player, dual dry cell batteries, dual propane tanks, electric jack, 3000w power inverter, modified heating duct to heat trailer evenly, Onan generator (have oil and a new filter for when service is needed). Sleeps 8, never smoked in, Front Queen Bed w/Overhead Cabinets, Tub/Shower, Lav., Wardrobe, Double Kitchen Sink, 3 Burner Range, Microwave, Refrigerator, 2 Lounge Chairs w/Dinette Table Between, TV Overhead, Sofa w/Overhead Cabinet, Rear Cargo Area w/ 2 Powered Bunk beds, fuel station. Couch and captain chairs are a tan suede like material.

Asking $27,000 for pay off, includes all the extras I have installed, ready to go camping, will throw in a tool kit, Colman propane BBQ and lantern too. Or take over payments, (call the financing bank and get it re financed in YOUR name, we need this out of our name to refinance our home).

Wow.

That's $6000 less than if you had bought from a dealer an it's only been used 6 times.

But that's not the only deal in town and not the only town where you can find a deal.

Craigslist has listings for many other major towns and regions - you should be able to find your dream RV somewhere in their listings, if you watch carefully.

What About Buying At An RV Show?

If You Are Seriously Looking To Buy An RV At An Incredible Price. . .

If you are seriously wanting to buy a new RV, it is best to go to the show as early as possible in the day and as early as possible in the show.

Why?

1. More models are available.
2. Pick up great deals on new models before their gone.
3. Less crowded
4. Sales and manufacturer reps have more time to spend showing you the benefits and features of the Rvs you are comparing.

* TIP: Do your research online before you go. Narrow it down to 2 or 3 models. Know the range of what you would like to spend.

Worst time to go: Weekends, or late in the day.
Worst plan of action: Looking at everything on the lot...you'll be exhausted and not remember what you saw anyway.

There are bargains to be had at an RV show - be sure to get the manufacturer reps to throw in $1000 to make the deal happen. They can...and will, if it means a sale.

Top Ten Reasons To Buy New vs Used Travel Trailers For Sale

Taken From Real RV Stories

1. Even though the tires look new and the tread is not worn, going downhill on a 7% grade in a construction zone you may experience a flat tire, not have a handle for your jack, and have several burly men yelling "Lady, you can't park there."

2. A little loose wire somewhere in a trailer can cause fuses in your truck to blow so that you have no turn signals or brake lights - on Sunday when there is no repair shop open and you have to get 200 miles home for work on Monday.

3. That orange refrigerator light means it's not working and your ice cream is melting all over your eggs.

4. The hot water heater MUST have a pilot light on it somewhere, because the wind just blew through the missing vent cover and extinguished it...but where?

5. When you are in Yuma Arizona in the summer, parts for air conditioners NOT under warranty cost the same as the first year of your daughter's college tuition.

6. Awning material strength is directly related to the year of the RV and the volume of rain that is soaking you as you try to tie down a ripped awning.(Also it takes 3 grown men to hold down a flapping awning in New Mexico while you're trying to roll it up!)

7. Previous owner's customized microwave cabinet can cause fire if not vented properly.

8. That nasty smell coming from the bathroom is from the black tank through the toilet seal that is corroded from being cleaned with the wrong chemicals.

9. Mice build condos and chew on wires when trailers are stored.

10. You never find the soft (rotten) spot in the floor of the bathroom until after the papers are signed.

You're welcome. There are great buys right now because people are feeling the fuel price crunch and don't realize that fuel prices would have to go to $9 per gallon for RVing to be on par with air travel!

My family has decided to get a travel trailer for our ski vacations - it's just getting too expensive to stay in the lodges with 5 of us now. Thanks for all the interesting information.
