Fresh Maine cranberries for baking, and for making juice, and tea!

I add unsweetened cranberry concentrate to my green smoothie every morning, personally I think it's delicious! It amazes me how seldom people actually read the labels on the food they consume...I know many people that drink the sweetened cranberry juice for bladder infections and then wonder why it didn't work.

Great lens! I wish more people understood just how bad products with HFCS are. People buy juice products thinking they're healthy when they're just full of sugary chemicals. (Blessed!)

Not sure I'm brave enough to try cranberry juice without the sugar.
Cranberries look lovely strung together to make garlands for the Christmas tree.

Very interesting. I usually only have cranberries at Christmas. Sounds like I should eat/drink more of them.

yes, cranberries are tart, so i mix the concentrate with another, sweeter 100% juice for the benefits.

I make cranberry orange relish every November and do not add sugar. Sometimes I'll add a little orange juice or agave sweetener. Corn syrup is poison, and you're right. It's the reason so many kids are overweight. It's in stuff you wouldn't even expect!

I don't drink the fruit juices at the store (well, except OJ) but I've never seen the cranberry concentrate. I'm interested. I have similar complaints about a lot of fruit dishes that you get at the store. I love fruit pies for instance, homemade ones that is. To me an apple pie at the store either has no taste or it just tastes like sugar and cinnamon. I like tart apples, I want to taste the apples. Maybe I would like the tart Cranberry juice too.

I love to take fresh cranberries and oranges and put them in the food processor and make cranberry/ orange relish. They are a bit tart but really good and no I do not add sugar.

I love the real thing and not just because it's healthy. I love the taste of real cranberries and other foods. I don't need sugar, corn syrup and all those other added items to enjoy my foods and drinks. This is a great topic and I love your intro image.

Health is the basis for everything else we want to achieve in life: we have to going on about all the hidden stuff in processed foods until they get fed up with putting it in!

An informative lens and it was interesting to see how cranberries are harvested.

I recently read Good Calories Bad Calories which opened my eyes to the HFCS issue. Scary stuff. I've never been a soft drink consumer, so at least I wasn't getting corn syrup THAT way. BUt it hides in SO many processed foods. Yet another reason to cook from scratch.

Thank you so much for including my Cranberry Sauce - From Bog to Table - it was so much fun to put together and a great vacation memory, so appreciated by Squidoo, too. Glad the season for Cranberries is upon us again...in fact for me, any time is a good time for Cranberries:-)

I've never tasted pure cranberry juice. I think I would like it. I loved the video of the cranberry harvest. I never realized they actually flooded the fields! Great lens!
