Crassula Rupestris Or Rosary Plant, Mini Plants For Container Gardens

Rosary Plants are great mini succulent plants for container gardens indoors or out - and so cute! This crassula species stays small, making it perfect for small areas and a great filler to grow with other plants in bigger pots.

Crassula Rupestris Or Rosary Plant, Succulent Plants For Container Gardens

This little succulent grows close to the ground and is great for hanging baskets or succulent wreaths. They form mounds 6 to 10 inches high. The leaves are just barely 1/4" long and arranged neatly along the stem to give it a square feel. The base of their stems take on a stiffer feel and woody look.

They can take part shade to full sun. Extra sun seems to give them a red tinge to the edges of their leaves. They get pale pink flower clusters in late summer. They take monthly watering in my hot southern California garden. If you are growing them in direct sun, they may appreciate a bit more water during the summer.

They are unique and interesting little plants. They're perfect for a windowsill or the patio table where you can admire them. They are great to mix and match with other succulents or cacti. They fill in the bare spots and hang over the edge of pots for an extravagant feel.
